Outfits are inspired by characters but use everyday clothes. Disney parks don't allow costumes or masks for anyone 14 or older, except at certain special events. Because the company has its own costumed characters that interact with guests, it doesn't want those likenesses to be misrepresented.

What I'm referring to is Disneybounding, which allows adult guests to dress in ways that resemble their favorite Disney characters while not wearing a costume.

What is the no costume rule at Disney?
Attire that is not appropriate for the theme parks (and which may result in refusal of admittance or ejection) includes but is not limited to: Costumes may not be worn by Guests 14 years of age or older. Masks may not be worn by Guests 14 years of age or older (unless they are for medical purposes)
In addition, Disney targets adult audiences with nostalgia-based content, such as remakes of older Disney movies, that reconnects these audiences to the magic of their childhoods.

Capes may be worn if the length does not go below the waist. Themed T-shirts, blouses, sweatshirts and hats are acceptable. Acceptable accessories include: transparent wings, plastic light sabers, toy swords and tutus. Costume headwear may be worn as long as it does not cover the face.

According to Disneyland Resort Rules, Guests over the age of 14 are not permitted to wear costumes in the theme parks (with the exception being Oogie Boogie Bash which has specific costume guidelines). That doesn't mean that you can't still represent your favorite characters. I love DisneyBounding!

Does Disney have anything for adults? Yes. Some Disney offerings were created specifically for adults, like La Cava Experience tequila tastings in EPCOT's Mexico pavilion and Sangria University, where guests make their own sangria at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort at Disney World.
With theme park tickets (as well as water park tickets), an adult is someone 10 years old and older. A child is considered someone between the ages of 3 to 9. Children from 0 to 2 therefore can enter without a ticket. As for dining the same ages apply.
