Tarantino is a very stylized director, and the Kill Bill movies are probably his most stylized films. He had a very specific vision for the world and it's characters. Part of that vision was to make the Bride more mystical and mysterious by very noticably omitting her name in the first film.
After that, her name is mentioned but bleeped out as she's on a mission and thus her identity can't be revealed yet, and it's not until she's seemingly defeated and buried alive that her name is revealed by Elle Driver (Daryl Hannah). When Beatrix makes her way out of the grave, she's “reborn” now as Beatrix Kiddo.

It is not until Kill Bill: Volume 2 that Tarantino stops having The Bride's name censored out when her true identity is revealed as Beatrix Kiddo. For those who watch with a careful eye, there are moments in the first film when Tarantino presented the answer to the mystery before the climactic moment.

The reason he buried her alive instead of just letting her walk away is because he valued his own life, and he didn't want to die either. So with the flashlight and knife, at least she had some kind of chance. And knowing Beatrix, being buried alive was most likely just a simple obstacle for her.

The word that is being censored is Beatrix as her name was not revealed until towards the end of Vol. 2. Beatrix's name is censored a few more times throughout the movie and she's mostly referred to as Kiddo or The Bride.
O-Ren's surname Ishii means "stone" (石) (ishi) and "well, mine, shift, pit" (井) (i). In 2015, Lucy Liu named her son Rockwell Lloyd Liu in a possible reference to the character, as the Japanese surname Ishii can translate to "Rockwell".
Tarantino gave Thurman a co-writing credit on the films, specifically for her work on The Bride. In fact, you can see it in the films' closing credits: "Based on the character of 'The Bride', created by Q & U" – Q standing for Quentin and U for Uma.
Beatrix Kiddo wants to escape her life of violence for her unborn daughter's sake. She gets engaged, but Bill, her jilted ex-lover, enlists his group of assassins to murder Beatrix's entire wedding party and almost kills her. Four years later, Beatrix plots her revenge on those murderers, including Vernita Green.
The primary air fairy shown is the duplicitous Beatrix, whose main ability has to do with electricity. Lightning being a part of the air element makes sense, as static is an effect of electrical charge imbalance in the air. Dowling also says that air fairies have control over speed, temperature, and sound.
After shooting her and tying her up, Budd and a lackey give Bea a "Texas funeral," nailing her into a wooden coffin and burying her alive. Drawing on the teachings of her master Pai Mai (Kung Fu film star Gordon Liu), the Bride punches her way through the coffin and crawls out of the grave.
Bill only sent Elle to Bud's to confirm Beatrix Kiddo was dead and collect her sword. Elle then killed Bud with a black mamba out of jealousy that he'd been the one to kill Beatrix and not her. When she reports back to Bill she lies claiming The Bride killed Bud by hiding the snake in his trailer.
Mainly, because he was a jealous sociopath. Distraught/Hate over the betrayal of The Bride running away; Jealousy, Desire, and Envy. Bill was Angry, Belittled (By the fact she left him for her soon-to-be husband), Distraught/Strife because of the discord of the betrayal.
She thus reclaims her daughter by defeating Bill's patriarchal reign over her life. But in the end, the heroine lies on the bathroom floor, crying over her lover's death and laughing with the joy of being reunited with her daughter.
In order to get his revenge on her, Sebastian threw Beatrix against a wall and she smacked her head against the brick. With a pool of blood forming beneath her, it appears she was killed instantly by the impact.
Bill explains to B.B. that he shot her mother because he was saddened when Beatrix abandoned him and angry when he found her engaged to be married to another man. The Bride spends good time with her daughter, who falls asleep.
