With just a few tweaks, Chucky was able to make Glen and Glenda stay true to their origin story while also undoing its mistakes. At the end of Seed of Chucky, Glen and Glenda were transferred into twin human babies, allowing both of them to exist simultaneously.
After the events of the film (and bear with me here, because this gets complicated): Glen murders Chucky for killing Tiffany, Tiffany possesses the soul of actress Jennifer Tilly, And a possessed Tilly gives birth to twin babies so Glen and Glenda can live on as humans.
It is revealed that Glenda is another soul living in the doll's body with Glen. Unlike Glen, Glenda has more of an edge to them and shares their parents' proclivity for murder. Is Glen and Glenda one person?
Although Glen/Glenda is one physical person, they possess the souls of two people, Glen and Glenda, with the former typically having control of the body.
The child isn't "anatomically correct," so Chucky and Tiffany bicker over its gender. Chucky dubs his "son" Glen, and Tiffany dubs her daughter "Glenda." It becomes clear that Glen and Glenda are either two separate personalities or two distinct souls somehow inhabiting the same body.
