Minion is a greenish alien fish with an underbite and sharp crooked teeth. He rides a mech that resembles a gorilla, which is inspired by Ro-Man. He resides in a water-filled dome on the top of the mech, giving him the appearance of being the head of the mech.
Known as "Minion" in the original film, his name is changed to "Ol' Chum" in the sequel film Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate and the television series Megamind Rules! This is said in-universe to be due to a copyright dispute with a creature involving a banana.
