Since this is also about MMA there is a lot of fight scenes and some are pretty brutal knockouts. There is a little bit of swearing during the film. The main characters' father used to be an alcoholic and he relapses near the end of the film.
Violence & Scariness. Extreme but cartoonish violence includes many dead bodies, plus spraying blood, swordfighting, gun-fighting, knife-fighting, dynamite, and explosions.
The best feature of the movie is the cinematography and the 5.1 sound. Story- wise, it's so-so, about a bunch of Norsemen along with Arab (played by Antonio Bandaras) fighting some Mongol invaders. The film could have used some humor, some better character development, and perhaps even a love interest .
The movie itself is based on the novel Eaters of the Dead, by Michael Crichton, who adapted the Old English poem Beowulf and the Arabic account Risala. The events have a very loose basis in historical fact, so if you're watching the movie in search of historical accuracy, don't, because you won't find much here.
Expect to see fantasy violence (blood and gore, use of weapons, fighting, dead bodies, dismemberment, and decapitation). There are lots of bloody battles scenes where characters and monsters get slashed, stabbed, and killed by medieval weapons and magic. There is also sexual content throughout.
One word of warning: this game is rated M and it richly deserves it. There is a lot of violence, blood and gore, and some nudity throughout the game. This isn't a game for kids or the squeamish.

Recommended Audience: Re:ZERO is a very violent show, and it's not afraid to show the blood and even the corpses of said victims, never mind a certain scene in the meltdown arc where Betelgeuse does something to Rem that we'd rather not repeat here.
Parents need to know that Overlord is an extremely gory horror/war movie set during WWII that involves the reanimated dead: twisted, crazed monsters (some of which are burned with flamethrowers). Expect nonstop blood, guns/shooting, explosions, and dead bodies.
Parents are warned that the M rating is well deserved. Although the film has less blood and gore than usual zombie movies, there is plenty to scare children under 13, for whom it is definitely not suitable.
