Was Gally immune to the flare?
They discovered that Gally was immune to the Flare virus and decided to bring him to the Last City to help nurse him back to full health from the Griever sting and being stabbed by Minho. The ultimate reveal that Gally did not die in The Maze Runner was briefly set up in the original movie.
Gally releases himself, pulls out a dagger, and hurls it at Thomas, but Chuck steps in front of him, taking the knife. As Chuck bleeds to death in Thomas's arms, Thomas is filled with rage and grief. He attacks Gally, punching him until Newt and Minho pull him away.

Gally interrupts, saying that he has been inside the Maze, but Minho cuts him off and yells at him. He calls Gally a hypocrite, because when he entered the Maze he broke the same rule that Thomas did, and which he is now trying to punish Thomas for.
Gally is the main antagonist of The Maze Runner and a major character in Maze Runner: The Death Cure. He made his debut as a Glader who did not trust Thomas from the beginning, turning into Thomas' first enemy in the Glade.
Gally used the small mechanical device that was found in the dead Griever body. We know this because when Gally appears at the end he is holding it. This mechanical device opens the doors because it used to be in a Griever, which is how Grievers would get around.

Assistant Director Janson, also known as simply Janson or the Rat Man in the books, is the main antagonist of The Maze Runner franchise. He was the highest-ranking official in the organization WICKED under Chancellor Ava Paige's command.
Minho never killed Gally. He threw the spear, but it missed Gally's important veins, arteries etc. He was injured but not to the point of death. Then Wicked took him in, healed him and he escaped and joined the right arm.
The next day, Alby regains his memories and remembers that Thomas worked for WCKD. He reveals this to Thomas. At night, during the Grievers' attack on the Glade, Chuck is caught a Griever, but Alby sacrifices himself to save him.

Fortunately for Thomas, he and most of his friends are Munies — immune to the Flare. That's why they've been put through the Maze and the Scorch trials.
He runs away from the Glade in a fit of rage after exclaiming that he thought Thomas was not to be trusted in the Gathering. At the end of the book, he kills Chuck when he tries to save Thomas from being hit with a dagger.
It just needed to happen, in her mind. No biggie. In book 2, she couldn't stand the thought of Thomas feeling betrayed without warning, so she tries really hard to warn him. And then basically kills their friendship to save his life.

Described by Thomas as a bully, Gally is hotheaded and arrogant, constantly threatening the other boys with violence. Despite his flaws, Gally cares deeply about the safety of the Gladers, sacrificing his own life to prevent the Grievers from killing any of the other boys.
