WHY HE CAN'T: Hyperion Is No Superman. Superman doesn't beat Darkseid because of how powerful he is; while that helps him survive the fight, Darkseid still outclasses Superman. Superman has learned to use his brains in battle against Darkseid, allowing him to win his battles against the dark god.
While Superman's reputation as DC's strongest hero is important to the themes that make him work, Darkseid isn't just more powerful, he's a higher level of being.
Superman. While Superman was not directly killed by Darkseid, everything he stood for and believed in was. In the Knightmare scenario, Lois Lane is killed, breaking Superman's heart and weakening his resolve.
He has superhuman speed and strength, and once fought Zeus to a standstill. Thor would certainly be thwarted by Darkseid. This fearsome villain would be able to drain the lifeforce from him, and even his godly weaponry doesn't seem like it could withstand Darkseid's Omega Beams.
DESTRUCTIVE POWER: Odin has quite a big advantage here, as he has destroyed galaxies in his battles. HAX: While Darkseid's omega beams are very Hax Odin is definitely superior in this category.
Batman has contingency plans for just about every villain and hero in the DC Universe — including one that can completely and utterly depower Darkseid. As one of the most powerful villains DC has to offer, it's even more impressive that Batman managed to defeat Darkseid with only a pair of goggles.
Galactus's mastery of the Power Cosmic holds the key to Darkseid's downfall. As powerful as Darkseid is, he's never shown any utility with many of the powers that Galactus has access to because of the Power Cosmic. It will give him the ability to defeat the God of Evil once and for all.
Kara Zor-El has the same basic power set as her cousin, Superman, making her yet another DC superhero capable of defeating Darkseid. Like Superman, Supergirl has also beaten Darkseid in the comics and their adaptations, with one notable example being the animated movie Superman/Batman: Apocalypse.
On the flip side, Darkseid has strength, intelligence, and the Omega Beams at his disposal, meaning his powerset is more varied and intimidating than Hulk's. Given this, it's no wonder that Darkseid could clobber Zeus and Hulk couldn't.
After an intense battle, the Anti-Monitor fuses the Black Racer with Flash and sends it after Darkseid. Using the fused Flash and his own powers, he kills Darkseid. With Darkseid dead, the universe is unbalanced as it has lost its God of Evil.
With power levels possibly even far above Superman's, including almost incalculable strength and an enigmatic power known as the 'Omega Effect,' Darkseid is one of Superman's most powerful and recognizable foes.
Even in the few times he's faced Superman, the green monster has lost. It's no fault of the Hulk's, but Superman is called Superman for a reason. Unless he had kryptonite or a magic-user by his side, Hulk would usually fall to the DC Hero - although, he'd put up a hell of a fight. Superman wins.
While Superman could potentially overpower Thor, blows rendered by the mystical Mjolnir would likely impose serious damage on the Kryptonian hero. With his super-speed, the Man of Steel could probably avoid the Thunder God's lightning, but not necessarily, since Thor is just as fast.
Darkseid intended to probe the minds of every human in order to piece together the Equation. This has caused him to clash with many superheroes of the DC Universe, notably, the Kryptonian Superman.
As it stands, Batman alone is helpless against cosmic level threats, much less against Thanos. Really, the best thing he could do is to ask for the Hellbat armor from the Justice League so he can survive Thanos' physical attacks. Even then, he'll still lose.
A massive green light appeared before Darkseid, revealed to be the Joker. The Joker teased him over his failure to take the Anti-Life Equation before Joker could and used his powers to overwhelm Darkseid's mind.
Unfortunately, Joker already knew about his plan. and appeared as a giant green light behind Darkseid, mocking him over his failure. to obtain the Anti Life Equation before him. He then used his powers to break darkseid's mind. and left him in the depths of outer space for good.
Cosmic Ghost Rider will still put up a good fight but it would be futile; none of his powers would be able to affect Darkseid. Sure, he can blast him or punch him but that's not going to do much against a god.
While Manhattan can transform things using the laws of physics, Darkseid transcends those laws. In Doomsday Clock, Manhattan feared Superman would destroy him. If Superman possessed this power in the main DC Comics continuity, surely Darkseid, in his strongest form, would be powerful enough to destroy Dr.
Who would win in an MCU fight: Odin or Thanos? Without the Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos stands little chance against Prime Odin. Odin is stated to be able to shatter the Earth.
