Rex appears in The Bad Batch animated series, which continues the story of the eponymous clone trooper team in the immediate aftermath of The Clone Wars.
Episodes 6 and 7 of The Bad Batch Season 3 see the return of Rex and his Clone team. Episode 7, "Extraction," reunites Rex with another key Clone from Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Gregor was extracted from Daro by the Bad Batch. Gregor was in his cell on Cellblock 25 when he demanded that the trooper on guard duty be useful and bring him some food.
Rex is actually 31 years old, though his biological state is likely closer to at least sixty years, due to the accelerated aging that was genetically installed in all Clone Troopers.
Echo Could Appear In A Potential Spinoff With Captain Rex
While there isn't much information about Echo's fate after the end of The Bad Batch, the show did leave a few clues. Star Wars has hinted that there could be a spinoff show about Captain Rex's clone rebellion, and Echo would fit perfectly into it.

What happened to Echo and Rex?
When Rex found traces of Echo's survival, he, accompanied by the elite Clone Force 99 and Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, led a mission to rescue Echo on Skako Minor. They succeeded, and, in turn, Echo used his cybernetic capabilities to turn the tide against the Separatists on Anaxes, leading to the Republic's victory.
After the Batch infiltrated Admiral Rampart's docked Star Destroyer and showed the galaxy the truth behind the destruction of Kamino, Echo made the difficult decision to leave the Bad Batch and return to Rex's side.
Whether or not he was the rebel commando named Nik Sant is the subject of debate: However, in the New Canon Rex did serve with Luke, Han and Leia at least once.
The adult clones Obi-Wan saw on Kamino were only about a decade old. That, unfortunately, makes a Rex cameo in Ahsoka difficult. By this point in the Star Wars timeline, Rex would be well into his 80s. Throw in advanced aging, and it's unlikely Rex — or any other clone — would still be alive to make an appearance.
In 19 BBY, he fought on the planet Cato Neimoidia, flying an ARC-170 starfighter. When Order 66 was issued by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, CT-57/11-9048 and Captain Jai'galaar killed their commanding officer, Jedi Master Plo Koon, while they were escorting him on a patrol of the planet's bridge cities.
As a result, Crosshair's allegiance was believed to have been purely the result of his chip, and not his own free will. However, "Finale Part 1" has revealed that Crosshair at some point had his chip removed, meaning that his loyalty to the Empire has been the result of his own choices.
With Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3 inching closer to its finale, it seems that Star Wars fans will have to face the sad fact that Tech will not be revived after his sacrifice with Plan 99.
The “Ahsoka” series is expected to be set around the same time as “The Mandalorian” – almost eight years after the events of “Return of the Jedi,” by which time the Rex character will be a chronological age of 44 and a biological age/appearance of a man well into his 80s (Morrison is 62).
In "Darkness on Umbara", Anakin describes Rex as his "first-in-command" and second-to-none in loyalty or capability. Rex's later helmet design (right) is a hybrid of his original helmet (left) and the regular Episode III clone trooper helmet (center).
The Clone Wars co-creator Dave Filoni confirmed in a 2011 interview with IGN that the tally marks represented kills. "[Rex is], like, this veteran now," he said, "and he's got little kill marks all over his armor." He added, "Rex doesn't believe that the new armor is really that good.
As far as you know, Anakin Skywalker and Captain Rex were very close friends during the Clone Wars. But before the battle for Coruscant, they had to split up and Rex went with Ahsoka to Mandalore, and Anakin went to Coruscant. After that, Anakin and Rex never saw each other again.
While listening to Kanan retell the events of Order 66 to Ezra, Rex reveals to the two that he and his fellow retired soldiers removed their control chips prior to the killings of the Jedi. He was never involved in the betrayal that Kanan holds against him.
This indicates that Rex hasn't interacted with Obi-Wan since the Clone Wars, making an appearance by Rex in Obi-Wan Kenobi impossible without contradicting Rebels.
Rex was 100 percent loyal to Anakin and was his truest friend out in the field. Anakin had to hide so much of himself from other Jedi, but he could be completely open with Rex, and he knew that Rex would never betray him.
He was close with Marshal Commander Cody, with their relationship mirroring that of their respective Jedi Generals, Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, whom Rex was also well acquainted with. Rex and his companions often worked together during the front-line campaigns against the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
This shows that Rex not only knew about Anakin and Padmé's relationship, but they trusted him to keep their secret. Despite Rex's efforts, that episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars showed that Obi-Wan already knew about Anakin and Padmé.
While Echo wasn't one to show his individuality with tattoos, his armor is recognizable by a meaningful blue hand print in Rishi eel blood given to him by Captain Rex.
Cody's eyes finally opened, and he realized that the Empire was not really fighting for peace and order, as he strongly believed, and soon after, he deserted them. Commander Cody, was not seen again after that for the rest of the show, leaving his ultimate fate unknown.
