Learning that his nephew was the new Spider-Man, Aaron manipulated Miles into helping him fight the Scorpion before threatening to expose his secret identity if he didn't continue working with him. In the ensuing struggle, Aaron's Prowler gauntlets overloaded and exploded, killing him and maintaining Miles' secret.
Before he can continue, Prowler answers a call from Fisk before he takes his mask off, revealing himself to be Aaron, which shocks Miles to learn that Aaron was a supervillain, that his father was right about him, and that his own uncle was the assassin attempting to kill him.
Uncle Aaron had called Miles to his home and blackmailed him, as he connected the OSCORP spider to Miles's being Spider-Man. He threatened to tell people that Miles was Spider-Man if Miles didn't help him take down a mob boss named Scorpion.
Miles Gonzalo Morales, also known as the Prowler, is a minor antagonist in Sony Pictures Animation's 24th full length feature film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and will return in its upcoming sequel Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.

Why was Uncle Aaron a villain?
Aaron became a criminal during his teenage years, even telling Miles in a recording that he got his first mugging a criminal's boss for his money. Aaron eventually became a thief for hire as "The Prowler", but spent most of his time playing with his nephew, Miles Morales, and hanging out with his brother.
In 2019, after a battle with the Spider Society, the Miles who became Spider-Man was accidentally transported to Earth-42 after trying to return to his home dimension. Once he realized he wasn't home, he pretended to be the Earth-42 Miles to try and blend in, but Aaron and the Prowler saw through it and captured him.
While that universe's Miles didn't became Spider-Man, he still suffered the way all Spider-Mans do. His dad, a police captain, died rather than his uncle Aaron. (Which indicates Miles-42 was supposed to become Spider-Man.)
5 The Aaron Davis Of Earth-42 Is Menacing And Murderous
Earth-42 also contains a variant of Miles Morale's uncle, Aaron Davis. Traditionally, it is Davis who holds the mantle of Prowler, but this alternate reality sees him teaming with an evil Miles.
Parker… and everyone else he reunites with from the first movie, but this one truly took me by surprise; after being thrown into a parallel universe, Miles is reunited with his Uncle Aaron, the man who Kingpin killed towards the end of the first movie.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse reveals that the spider that bit Miles Morales came from another dimension, leaving that universe without a Spider-Man. On Earth-42, the absence of Spider-Man resulted in the deterioration of the city and a darker path for the Miles Morales in that universe, who became The Prowler.

MIles also tussles with his fair share of other baddies as well. He fights Omega Red, Kangaroo, Dr. Conrad Marcus, AKA Venom, and Norman Osborn, AKA Green Goblin as well as Quentin Beck, AKA Mysterio, from another reality, that of Earth-616.
