The Prince and Belle share their first kiss, a kiss of true love, which subsequently breaks the additional spell placed on the castle and its inhabitants: the dark, scary castle is restored into its original, shining state, and all the Prince's servants, including Lumière, Cogsworth, and Mrs.
And to break that curse, Belle needs to fall in love with Beast. This totally happens, and Belle breaks the curse, and the two presumably live happily ever after —but do you remember WHO exactly cast the curse?
Agathe then travels to the Beast's Castle shortly before the Beast dies as the last petal falls. When Agathe arrives to see Belle admit that she loves the Beast, Agathe restores the rose and the curse is lifted, turning the Beast and the rest of the enchanted objects back into humans.
The servants are clearly intent on preventing her from discovering the castle's enchantment, which seems counterintuitive. Wouldn't it be more probable for Belle to fall in love with a human prince who had been cursed rather than a monstrous creature?
Cursed by an enchantress because he has no love within his heart, a prince is transformed into a terrible beast. The fearful spell can only be broken when he truly learns to love - and can earn the love of another. But who can love a beast? All seems hopeless until fate brings Belle into his world.

How does Belle break the spell?
Belle arrives and tells the dying beast she loves him ("Home - Reprise"), which breaks the spell. The Beast transforms back into the Prince, the servants become human again, and they all live happily ever after.
Lumière: Yes, I will make sure of it, But don't you see, this is the girl we have been waiting for! This is the one who will break the spell! Cogsworth: You know she will never love him.
Being humble, kind, and caring are inner qualities that result in the love between Belle and Beast and allows Beast to regain his human form and marries Belle.
“[Belle is] able to walk through a crowded marketplace without looking. She knows exactly when everyone wakes up every morning. She talks about the baker having the exact same tray of goods every day,” they wrote. “Belle and her father are considered odd because they change and age!
Eventually, the Beast falls in love with Belle, and placing her happiness before his own, he releases her to tend to her sick father, a decision that disheartens him upon realizing that she had not yet returned his love which means that the curse remains unbroken.
When Belle touches the Beast's enchanted rose, memories flood through Belle's mind-memories of a mother she thought she would never see again. And, stranger still, she sees that her mother is none other than the beautiful enchantress who cursed the castle and all its inhabitants.
In the animated Disney version, Lumiere says the castle has been cursed for ten years. The prologue also says that the enchanted rose would bloom until the Beast's “twenty-first year.” So that means that during the main storyline, the Beast/Prince is twenty or twenty-one years old and was cursed when he was eleven.
He starts developing inner beauty, and she starts to fall for him. But then she learns that her father is in danger, and wishes to leave. This is a pivotal moment for the Beast: will he release her? He chooses to let her go.
Before "Me" in the Broadway version begins, Gaston mentions to the Silly Girls that their "rendezvouses" will continue after he marries Belle, suggesting that he would be unfaithful and that he is an adulterer. He is the first Disney villain to conspire to commit adultery, at least in a Disney musical.
Belle runs back to the forest to take his fathers penalty and the Beast immediately falls in love with her and asks her to marry him, every night she refuses, every night he insist. Belle chooses to take this to hand only because she refuses anything bad to happen to her father.
Gaston pursues Belle, determined to marry her, as she is the most beautiful girl in the village and thus the only one good enough for him. He also finds her independence to be a thrilling challenge, and shows disdain for the Bimbettes who constantly fawn over him purely because of his appearance.
Belle. Belle, the beautiful princess from Beauty and the Beast is an extremely intelligent lady who loves to read but was imprisoned by a mean beast to free her father. She suffered from Stockholm disorder which means a victim forms an emotional bond with the abuser.
“Though we didn't completely take blue out of the village, Belle is distinct within the town as the only one who wears a column of blue,” says Durran. “She stands out as different than her environment.” And therein lies the essence of the blue dress.
Gaston was Belle's greatest enemy. He wanted to marry her by any means necessary just because she was the most beautiful girl he laid eyes on. However, Belle strongly disliked Gaston for his snobbish, arrogant, and narcissistic personality and was the only girl in the village to not be infatuated with Gaston.
It's ok to get angry—it's an emotion we all experience—but when a person lashes out physically or verbally because of their anger that is abusive behavior. In the Beast's case, he tries to intimidate Belle into submission by threatening to withhold food.
The original Beauty of Beauty and the Beast did suffer from Stockholm syndrome. She developed feelings for the Beast under duress, alone and unsupported, rather than through genuine connection. However, as the story has been altered for modern audiences, elements of Stockholm syndrome have all but vanished.
It is implied that if anyone except the enchantress touches the rose, it could be destroyed easily. Most likely, if its petals were plucked, the countdown would be accelerated. However, in a lot of Disney Princess merchandise, Belle is able to hold the rose.
In the Disney movie, the rose symbolizes how much time the Beast has left to break the spell. However, in the original tale, the rose is actually what gets Belle into trouble in the first place. In Villeneuve's story, Belle asks her merchant father to bring her back a rose from his business trip.
