Michael Morbius is a biochemist-turned-bloodsucker. After years of experimentation to eliminate his rare blood disease, Morbius gained a cure… and an acute case of vampirism. The side effects? Enhanced senses, an aversion to light, and an insatiable thirst for blood.
Martine seemingly dies, but before she does, she takes a nibble of Morbius' lip and drinks some of his blood, then he bites her neck. Morbius and Milo fight and, eventually, a swarm of bats head Morbius' call, and hold Milo down so Morbius can administer the antibody. Milo dies – and Martine wakes up a vampire.
During their confrontation, Morbius bit Blade, who soon realized that his blood enzymes were not enough to protect him from his foe's unique form of vampirism. Though allegedly a daywalker since birth, Blade now transformed fully into the thing he hated most, manifesting vampiric fangs and a bloodthirst.
As he is not a true undead vampire, Morbius is unaffected by religious symbols or objects considered holy and he is not affected by wood or silver more than other metals or substances that may damage his body.

Dr. Michael Morbius, Ph. D., M.D., better known as simply Morbius, is an anti-heroic antagonist from Marvel Comics, serving as an enemy to Spider-Man, Blade, and Ghost Rider. He was a biogenetic scientist who was dying of a blood-destroying disease.
Morbius is also immune to traditional vampire weaknesses, such as magic, crucifixes, silver and stakes through the chest. In fact, Morbius is virtually immortal. He also can't convert others into traditional vampires.

Morbius, the Living Vampire, can go into the sun and walk in daylight, albeit with less power. He also does not have any of the usual weaknesses of vampires, such as aversions to religious iconographies or vulnerabilities to stakes through the heart.

The relationship between traditional media like film and TV and their naughty cousin internet culture takes many shapes, but nowhere is it that shape more bizarre than the story of 'Morbius' – a film that flopped, and was brought back from the dead only to flop again.
