Tarzan. While they may not be Greystrokes in the animated movie, like in the literature, Tarzan's parents cast ashore in an unknown area of Africa with Tarzan after their ship is burned down. Although it is unseen on screen, they are killed by Sabor, as seen when Kala rescues Tarzan from her after seeing their bodies.
In the film's retelling Tarzan's parents are killed by Sabor the leopard, and Kala saves the infant Tarzan from Sabor, not Kerchak. Her own child having been previously killed by the same leopard, Kala adopts Tarzan as her own, though Kerchak disapproves of this.
She is a savage female leopard who was responsible for the deaths of Tarzan's parents along with Kerchak and Kala's son. In a way, Sabor is the one responsible for Tarzan being adopted by the gorillas in the first place as well as for Tarzan facing off Mama Gunda and Clayton.

The character's background included his birth in Africa, becoming an orphan, and then raised by apes. His real name was given to him as John Clayton, but since he was brought up by an ape family, they named him Tarzan, which meant “white skin.”

Was There a real Jane in Tarzan?
Pretty sure this tale has you wondering about Jane. But sadly for fans of Tarzan's lady friend who first appeared in Tarzan of the Apes — A Romance of the Jungle in 1912 in All-Story, she does appear to be a pure figment of Burroughs' imagination.

Terk, referring to herself Terk is a major character in Disney's 1999 animated feature film, Tarzan. She is a rowdy, tomboyish, and fun-loving gorilla and the best friend of Tarzan. She is also Kerchak and Kala's niece, making Tarzan her human adoptive cousin.
Despite what Disney fans may believe, Tarzan is not related to "Frozen" characters Anna and Elsa. "Can I put one rumor to rest that is my fault? When Sabor spots the Baby, she begins chasing him; the Baby Gorilla tries to race back to his parents but Sabor kills and eats him. Kerchak and Kala hear their son's cries and race to try to protect him, but are too late, so Kala cries sadly in Kerchak's arms at the loss of her only child.
As he explained to co-director Jennifer Lee, Buck envisions Anna and Elsa's parents being shipwrecked off the coast of Africa and eventually giving birth to a boy we know as Tarzan. "In my little head, Anna and Elsa's brother is Tarzan," he told MTV.

Tarzan Triumphs could have been subtitled “Me Tarzan, Where Jane?” for with the series moving from MGM Studios to RKO Pictures they lost Maureen O'Sullivan as she was an MGM contract player. Jane would be explained away as, “Visiting her sick mother in London” and wouldn't show up for a couple pictures.
