In both versions of Beauty and the Beast, the pesky curse that trapped the Beast in his animal form is eventually broken. When Belle sobs over his injured body, her tears deactivate the spell.With proof that he can love and be loved in return, the Beast is magically returned to the human race.
Belle is able to tell the Beast that she loves him before the final petal falls. Then, Belle's declaration of love for the Beast breaks the spell and transforms him back into the prince.
A prince by birth, he was cursed by a mysterious Enchantress as punishment for his selfish and cruel nature; only by loving another and earning their love in return can the Beast free himself and those affected by the spell before time runs out.
The Beast is actually a prince who was cursed many years ago (as well as his servants) for his arrogance, and the only way he could break the curse was by learning to love. Belle and the Beast fall in love and the Beast manages to break the curse and go back to his human form.
In the 2017 remake, she knows. The servants tell her everything except how the spell can be broken. In the original animated movie, though, there's no indication whatsoever that she knows he was once human.

Being humble, kind, and caring are inner qualities that result in the love between Belle and Beast and allows Beast to regain his human form and marries Belle.
Belle runs back to the forest to take his fathers penalty and the Beast immediately falls in love with her and asks her to marry him, every night she refuses, every night he insist. Belle chooses to take this to hand only because she refuses anything bad to happen to her father.
Beast's descent into darkness began with his desire to develop a cure for the Legacy Virus. Believing that he should be able to solve any solution with time and effort, Beast's pursuit of a cure became an unhealthy obsession.
The original Beauty of Beauty and the Beast did suffer from Stockholm syndrome. She developed feelings for the Beast under duress, alone and unsupported, rather than through genuine connection. However, as the story has been altered for modern audiences, elements of Stockholm syndrome have all but vanished.
When the Prince laughed at her offering and turned her away, she revealed her true form as a beautiful, magical woman, but cursed the Prince for his arrogance, instead of for his selfish, unkind and spoiled nature; she transformed him into a hideous beast and his servants into household objects.

The Prince and Belle share their first kiss, a kiss of true love, which subsequently breaks the additional spell placed on the castle and its inhabitants: the dark, scary castle is restored into its original, shining state, and all the Prince's servants, including Lumière, Cogsworth, and Mrs.
Beast's transformation back into a human is one of the dominant story arcs in the comic series X-Factor. After the Alliance of Evil captures Beast, the group performs an experiment on him that transforms him back into a human. It was not until issue #28 that Beast was able to transform back into his furry self.
She cried out in regret, and her tears revived Beast, who turned into a prince. He told her an evil fairy had raised him and tried to take advantage of him and ultimately turned him into a beast. In other versions, the fairy turns Beast back into a prince because Beauty saw and valued his goodness.
Come the end of it all, Belle realizes that she's in love with the Beast – regardless of his rugged and fearsome exterior – and she tells him as much. Then… poof! He swiftly turns into a blue-eyed human with a mane of strawberry-blonde hair, and the curse is lifted.
What is the mental illness in Beauty and the Beast?
There are several Freudian interpretation and psychological disorder that can be found in Beauty and the Beast story. They are: Stockholm and Oedipus complex syndrome in Beauty and severe depression in Beast. The syndrome exists whenever both Beauty and the Beast try to repress and manipulate their unconscious realm.
Belle. Belle, the beautiful princess from Beauty and the Beast is an extremely intelligent lady who loves to read but was imprisoned by a mean beast to free her father. She suffered from Stockholm disorder which means a victim forms an emotional bond with the abuser.
Clearly, Belle is schizophrenic, and the strain of her efforts to reconcile the ease and luxury of an aristocratic lifestyle with the oppression and social injustice required to perpetuate its existence causes her to experience increasingly vivid hallucinations.
