If enough Na'vi use their ponytails to link with the Tree of Souls, a risky ritual can be performed to transfer a consciousness from one body to another. This is what allows Jake Sully to remain a Na'vi. His consciousness is passed from his human body through the Eye of Eywa and into his avatar body.
Jake turns against the RDA after sympathizing with the Na'vi and mating with Neytiri. Jake becomes the sixth Toruk Makto and leads the Na'vi in a battle to drive the RDA off Pandora. After the battle, Jake's consciousness is permanently transferred into his avatar via the Tree of Souls.
Jake's story picks up fifteen years after the Battle of the Hallelujah Mountains and the expulsion of 90% of the humans on Pandora, and Jake is now living as a full Na'vi, his consciousness permanently fused into his avatar body.
Using their capability of advanced genetic engineering, humans develop "Avatar" hybrid bodies from genetically distinct modified human DNA and Na'vi alien genetic material. Through psionics, genetically matched humans are then mind-linked to these "Avatars" for remote control operation.
James Cameron recently spoke with Empire for their January 2023 issue and was asked why he decided to make the Na'vi blue in Avatar. It turns out that there's not any grand reasoning behind the choice, it was simply the only colour he felt wasn't taken by other cinematic characters.
In Cameron's script she's introduced with the descriptor "in human age she would be 18," but that raises as many questions as it answers. As with the math that leads to Jake being 28, Neytiri's birth in the Earth calendar year 2136 and the film's setting in 2154 add up to make her 18, but that's by Earth standards.
Lifespan. Although lifespan data is incomplete, it is estimated Na'vi live 30% longer than the average human. Once born, Na'vi children mature more rapidly than humans.
Their prayers are answered when Jake returns, having made tsaheylu with the Toruk. Recognizing his close connection to Eywa, Neytiri forgives him and accepts him again.
After Neytiri kills Quaritch, she holds Jake's avatar body and realizes that he isn't there. She rushes into the link shack and finds Jake's real body lying on the floor, unconscious. She holds him in her arms and puts an exopack on his face, saving his life.
Neteyam te Suli Tsyeyk'itan, or Neteyam, is a major character in the Avatar franchise, serving as one of the main characters in Avatar: The Way of Water. He is the 15-year-old eldest son of Jake Sully and Neytiri, who is also the older brother of Lo'ak, Tuktirey, and Kiri.
At the end of Avatar 1, Sully decides he wants to remain with the Na'vi, and successfully undergoes the transfer. It's never stated in the films what happened to his body, but in the comic Avatar: The Next Shadow, it's revealed that the Na'vi buried his human form.
Her father is not a father, her father is another mother, Eywa, the Great Mother, the sentient life force of Pandora itself that exists in all things there, but is rarely understood. So essentially yes, Kiri was born from Eywa just like Anakin Skywalker was allegedly conceived by the Force itself and its midichlorians.
The Na'vi are monogamous creatures who mate (Na'vi name: muntxa si meaning "mate with, marry") for life. The mechanics of their reproduction are similar to that of humans and other Terran mammals. However, their unique physiology creates an experience fundamentally different from that of humans.

However, after the tragedy of Sylwanin's death at the hands of the RDA, Neytiri was forced to assume her deceased sister's duties including her impending betrothal to the olo'eytakan in training, Tsu'tey.
Neteyam te Suli Tsyeyk'itan was Jake Sully and Neytiri's eldest son at 15-years-old. He is the eldest brother of Lo'ak, Tuktirey and Kiri. As the eldest brother, Neteyam was expected to watch out for his younger siblings and their antics.
He tries to understand her thoughts and feelings and shows affection by calling her "baby girl". When Kiri falls into a coma, Jake calls Norm and Max to come all the way to the oceans to help her.
Jake shows very little compassion towards Lo'ak due to his rebellious ways and seems more concerned about Lo'ak's failures instead of his earnest attempts to help. At one point, Jake bluntly tells Lo'ak that he has brought shame onto their family.
Skin color is due to the presence of the cyanin pigment. It can "tan" to a darker purplish color after prolonged sunlight exposure. Despite their cyan skin color, the Na'vi have red blood, utilizing an iron oxygen-transporting compound similar to hemoglobin.
This has also been taken into account by the creators of the movies. It seems that the Na'vi do in fact have special organs called 'Wichow' that take advantage of the high CO2 content to extract greater quantities of oxygen from the atmosphere.
