Some believe Belle was only there for a few days. Others believe she was there for several months, mostly because of the timeframe of two straight-to-video sequels. The live-action film changes up Maurice's story in significant ways so it's clear Belle is at the castle for around a week.
Less than a year. Maybe six months. Belle's father was imprisoned for taking a rose around fall, and Belle goes after him not much long after. We see it snows because Belle and Beast have a small snowball fight, and Lefou was covered by snow when Gaston told him to wait outside Belle's house until she returned.
Belle begs the Beast to let her father go. When he does not relent, she offers to become the Beast's prisoner in exchange for her father's freedom. The Beast accepts her offer and has Maurice escorted out before Belle can say goodbye.
