While Effie Trinket is one of the most beloved characters in The Hunger Games, she's also inadvertently a cruel member of the Capitol. As a villain with heroic moments, she genuinely cares about Katniss and wishes the best for her. However, the way Effie smiles throughout the Reaping can't be anything but inhumane.
The Hunger Games movies reveal Effie to be highly insensitive to the tributes' plights, which at first made her seem despicable. However, as time went on, she slowly grew on Katniss.
Effie cares a lot for her own looks and career, however after the Games, it becomes clear that she does, in fact, care for Katniss and Peeta. She can be a lovely person, but she becomes emotional very quick.
Coriolanus Snow. President Coriolanus Snow is the main antagonist of the series. He is the autocratic ruler of the Capitol and all of Panem. Though seemingly laid-back, his demeanor hides a sadistic and psychopathic mind.
She lost some of her shallow nature as the series progresses, eventually defecting from the Capitol during the Rebellion while captured and tortured. She eventually felt extreme guilt over her actions and almost became an alcoholic like Haymitch, but reminded herself to stay strong so to not be like him.

Why did Effies hair fall out?
The forced abstinence and psychological cruelty that ensue cause Effie's psychosomatic alopecia. Things come to a head after the Pre-Raphaelite painter John Everett Millais (Tom Sturridge) joins the couple on a Scottish holiday.
While, throughout the series, there's some chemistry between the two, nothing ever comes of the tension in Suzanne Collins' novels. Beyond the kiss, nothing happened between the two in the movies either. As it turns out, however, the kiss was a surprise to the rest of the cast and crew of the movie too.
Katniss feels betrayed, most of all by Haymitch, who used her and Peeta. Eventually she wakes to find Gale there. He's badly injured and tells her the Capitol bombed District 12 after the Games. He got Prim and Katniss's mother out in time, but the District 12 is gone.
Snow laughs after Katniss killed Coin because he enjoys the irony of the situation. He avoided the official execution ceremony, even though Panem's citizens still take their revenge on him, while Katniss ends up snatching away the victory and power that Coin thinks she has successfully secured.
I think the cruelest part was forcing the kids to kill each other. Not to mention making their families watch, making them anticipate and celebrate it, the whole forced "in love" thingy..and more. Just the cruelty of it all.
Answer and Explanation: At the end of Catching Fire, Effie is arrested by District 13 after Katniss escapes from the arena. They hold her as a political prisoner because of her ties to the Capitol and her role in the Hunger Games.

Freddie is portrayed as a sensitive character that falls in love with Effy Stonem. In series three his friendship with Cook deteriorates. Cook's wild image has become unbearable and exacerbates Freddie's concern for him as well as Cook eventually sleeping with Effy and boasting about it to Freddie.
Backround. Effie was born in the Capitol in 44 ADD to Justinus and Euphemia Trinket. Her parents were pretty old when they gave birth to her, but it wasn't really a problem, since this has happened to another rich family. She was named after her mother.
Answer and Explanation: Prim is killed by a bomb at the very end of the battle. Alma Coin sees an opportunity to turn the Capitol troops against Snow, and she decides the resulting loss of life from her plan is a worthwhile price to pay.
By killing Coin, Katniss ensured a chance for a peaceful and fair country, avenged her sister's death, and liberated Panem from the fascist government. The double bomb that kills Katniss Everdeen's sister, Primrose, was designed by two rebels: Beetee and Gale, Katniss's lifelong friend. Previously, Gale had explained that the double bombs are designed to appeal to mankind's weakness for compassion.
Gale was responsible for creating weapons that would trigger a second wave of bombs to target first responders and combat healers. This invention potentially ended up killing Prim, but even if he wasn't directly responsible, Katniss found this tactic so abhorrent that she lost her affection for him.
At the age of 16, Haymitch was reaped as one of District 12's two male tributes for the 50th Hunger Games alongside Maysilee Donner and another female tribute. It is unknown who mentored him, and the same is true for District 12's other three tributes.
Sadly, Phillip Seymour Hoffman died while filming the final installment in the series, and there was no way around the fact that his characters' role had to be lessened. Specifically he was meant to be in the scene in the film with Katniss where instead Haymitch reads a letter to her from Plutarch.
