Afterwards, he took Deckard to Stelline Laboratories, urging him to meet his daughter. As Deckard went into the lab, the severely injured K laid down on the steps outside and succumbed to his wounds.
In the final moments of the film, K collapses in the snow and dies from his wounds sustained in battle, but not before fulfilling his mission and revealing to Deckard the truth about his own past.
K sees being born as a way to be more remarkable than other replicants. However, what he didn't realize is that he had a soul all along. K did not need to be born to be a unique experiencer, and the factor of having authentic subjective experiences defines us as people.
Because of this memory, K became convinced that he was Rachael and Deckard's child, but was eventually informed by Freysa that he was not and that the child was female. As a result, K presents himself as stoic and rather serious and rarely ever smiles, which contributes to his intimidating presence when on the job, he is also thorough in completing his tasks as a Blade Runner due to his lack of or rather suppressed emotions.
During the final fight with K, after subduing him, she smugly kissed him and retorted "I am the best one!", as if trying to prove her superiority over not just K, but all other replicants, further hinting at her deep-seated insecurities that she kept well-hidden.
