Tessa is still played by Josephine Langford, you'll be pleased to know! Josephine took on the role when she was just 21, portraying 18-year-old Tessa. She reprised the role for every film, from the first in the franchise, After, to the fifth and final movie, After Everything.

After Everything is the fifth movie instalment to the After film series and we couldn't be more excited! After Ever Happy was the film before the finale and the actors who play Hardin Scott (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) and Tessa Young (Josephine Langford) jumped straight back into filming the final instalment.
The film follows on from After Ever Happy, which sees Tessa (Josephine Langford) and Hardin (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) break up after a story he wrote about their relationship gets published and becomes a bestseller.
Hardin comes to visit every weekend even though he is now a famous author of the book he wrote about their relationship. At Landon's wedding Hardin proposes and he and Tessa run off to Vegas to get married. After a miscarriage, they have a daughter and a son.
Tessa is often described to be Hardin's light, as she led him out of the darkness, while Hardin pushes her to accept her desires and impulses. They are currently engaged and parents to their two children, Emery and Auden Scott.
The final installment in the franchise follows “Hardin struggling to move forward” following his breakup from Tessa, the Voltage Pictures official logline reads. “Hardin travels to Portugal in search of a woman he wronged in the past — and to find himself,” the description continues.
Why is Tessa not in After Everything? To clarify, Tessa is in After Everything but the film is from Hardin's perspective, which explains why Tessa isn't in it as much as the previous four films.

After Everything is the fifth and final film centred around Josephine and Hardin's love story, so no there won't be a sixth After film at this point in time.
Hardin made a bet with his edgy friends to take Tessa's virginity, which he succeeded in taking. He even saved the bloody sheets from when they did it to show his friends, which is disturbing.
In the first movie, After, Tessa is 18 years old as she starts her first year of college as a freshman, while Hardin is a year older than her. After We Collided sees the couple through the same school year, however, we do see Tessa celebrate her birthday in the film.

Hardin and Tessa love each other, but much like real-life relationships, love was never a problem for them. The problem is that, at this point in their relationship, they were hurting each other. Hardin knows he has to let her go, even though he hates doing it, but she needs it. They both do.
We can tell Tessa has changed because she now wears a wig with stiff bowl-cut bangs that looks like it was cribbed from the wardrobe of the scarecrow from Wizard of Oz.
After dinner, Hardin admits to Tessa that he wants her more than he has ever wanted another person or thing in his whole life. Tessa realizes this is an admission of his genuine feelings for her, and she kisses him.
Dan had it out for Hardin for sleeping with and exploiting his sister. He attempted to sexually assault Tessa after Steph drugged her to get revenge on Hardin. His efforts were thwarted, and no legal charges were pressed against him.
Does Tessa ever sleep with anyone other than Hardin?
Hardin is the only person Tessa has ever had serious sexual relations with. They have broken up and gotten back together over a dozen times throughout the novel series.
It is undisclosed in the books if Tessa and he ever marry, but they live together in an apartment in New York. They have two children: a daughter named Emery and a son named Auden.
Will dies; Tessa then chooses to have no romantic attachments at all from 1937 to 2007 because of Will's memory. And then, when Jem is human again and eighty years have passed since Will died, eighty years in which she has mourned and come to slow terms with her loss, she chooses to be with Jem.
Steph drugs Tessa's drink and coaxes her into an empty room. There, she confesses that she despises Tessa and that it wasn't Zed who stole Hardin's phone and texted her on his birthday.
Emery is the first-born daughter and child of Tessa Young and Hardin Scott. Tessa and Hardin had decided to take a break from their efforts to have a child, due to Tessa's miscarriage and thwarted fertility trials.
