Because that's what I'm telling you, as clearly as I can. Louis describes himself to Rick. Louis Bloom is a sociopathic, manipulative, smarmy, but unrelentingly dedicated individual. He will do whatever is necessary to achieve his goals and has no qualms of doing it, justifying his means with the end result.
The writer/ director of this movie (making his directorial debut) certainly understands fear and comedy. The simplest scene was made into a laugh by the angles and cuts. It's funny, and enjoyable, but still terrifying enough to feel like a real horror thriller.

This was a very good movie, loved the characther and Jake's performance, he really nailed it. Would like to see a sequel. This film was excellent! Jake Gyllenhaal's acting in it was awesome, a silent creepy guy trying to do his job no matter what it takes.
