Toy Story 3 3D is a quality animated adventure movie. It is likely to be enjoyed by most of the family, although it is darker and more scary than previous Toy Story movies. This is why it's not recommended for children under five.
Even if it's the most dramatic and the darkest of the 3 (as dark as Toy Story can get) the comedy is still there, and I was laughing out loud all the way through!
Lots of name-calling and the like (“shut up”; “you idiot”) and the only female character of note is Bo Peep who wanders through a couple of times as a kind of comedic femme fatale to make sultry side comments to the (white, male) main characters. Not what I want my 5 year old to imprint on.

At worst, “idiot,” “stupid,” “bozo,” “dirt bag” and “creep” are used as insults. Woody does tell Buzz he'd have a choice word or two for him, but he can't say them because there are preschool toys present.
When Buzz says "Blast!" after looking at his broken spaceship, his lips actually say "Damn!". One use of "damn" during the Shakes the Rattle deleted scene.
At the end of Toy Story 3, Andy decides to give his toys to a little girl named Bonnie. He explains to Bonnie how much the toys mean to him and plays with them one last time before leaving for college. Woody also silently says goodbye as he watches Andy drive away for good.
Lightyear is the most overtly mature entry with various serious moments, including the dark joke surrounding Sox's death. That comes from being about real people rather than living toys. In fact, the premise of Lightyear is remarkably dark.

In Toy Story 3, the ending of the film's emotional tension arrives when Andy ultimately decides to part ways with his beloved toys. After their stressful journey to reunite with Andy, they share one final playtime session before being handed off into Bonnie's care.

This need was fulfilled by the end of Toy Story 3. Though initially hesitant, Andy decided to part with Woody for Bonnie's happiness and Woody fully embraced his choice. This bittersweet ending completed Woody's journey from selfishly pursuing his own wants to sacrificing his desires for the happiness of his kids.
During the credits, Big Baby is shown to be having a happier time at a now cool and groovy Sunnyside under the care of Barbie and Ken, the new leaders. In the sandbox, Big Baby is seen making a sandcastle, but when it falls, he wails and Barbie offers him his bottle.
