Though its climate has always been hot and dry, Mandalore's surface was once lush and contained a variety of Earth-like biomes, including vast jungles and jewel-colored lakes. After several large-scale conflicts, it's mostly been turned into a lifeless desert.
The Purge. Imperial TIE Bombers carpet bombed the surface of Mandalore. Realizing they would never be able to control Mandalore and wanting to make sure no other faction could, the Empire instead set out to punish the Mandalorians, wipe out their memory, and deter unrest on other worlds by 5 ABY.

Unwilling to suffer through a second war with the Mandalorians, in 738 BBY the Jedi led a Republic strike force in a brief and overwhelming conflict known as the Mandalorian Excision that brought devastation to the Mandalore sector, and transformed parts of Mandalore into inhospitable deserts of white sand.

What did Mandalore look like before it was bombed?

Notably, the Dagoyan Masters of Bardotta regarded the Jedi as thieves and kidnappers because of that practice. Some Mandalorians, most notably members of Death Watch, held a grudge against the Jedi for their perceived crimes against Mandalore during the Mandalorian-Jedi War.
Mandalore the Great is said to have tamed the mythical beast. By the time of the New Republic, they were considered extinct, but a mythosaur resided in the Living Waters beneath the Mines of Mandalore in the ruins of the Civic Center of Sundari.
Din was raised as a Child of the Watch, subscribing to the Way of the Mandalore. As revealed in The Mandalorian season 3, episode 7, the Children of the Watch were hidden away on Mandalore's moon of Concordia during the Great Purge. This allowed them to survive the Empire's assault, including Din.
Star Wars: Tales of the Empire added three new Jedi to the list of those who survived Order 66: Barriss Offee, Lyn Rakish (the Fourth Sister) and an unidentified human Jedi. The unidentified human had never been seen before in Star Wars, and they made their debut in Tales of the Empire.

There have been other Mandalorians who have become Jedi, though. The first was Tarre Vizsla, the Mandalorian Jedi who created the Darksaber. Huyang mentions in Ahsoka episode 3 that there have also been few other Mandalorians who have trained to be Jedi in addition to Tarre and Sabine.
Jango Fett was born in 66 BBY and was from the Mandalorian colony planet Concord Dawn, a world within the Mandalore sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Although he told others he came from this Mandalorian world, his exact history remained unknown, much to Fett's enjoyment.
Mandalore was bombarded by TIE Bombers and Star Destroyer cannon fire until the surface of the planet turned to glass and ash. Those who survived that bombardment were ruthlessly killed by Imperial assassin droids.
Is Grogu Yoda? According to the events of "The Mandalorian" so far, Grogu and Yoda are not the same character. They are simply from the same species. The name of this species has never been revealed since "Star Wars" creator George Lucas wanted to give Yoda a sense of mystery.
Djarin took on the mission after removing his helmet and thus becoming an apostate to the Children of the Watch, and being told by one of the sect's leaders, a woman called "the Armorer," that the only way he could repent was by bathing in the Living Waters.
After rescuing Din (Pedro Pascal) from the living waters in the Mines of Mandalore and spying a very real, very alive Mythosaur – the symbol of Mandalore itself – Bo-Katan Kryze kept that information on the down low once Din woke up and admits he saw nothing under the water.
Bo-Katan dismisses Boba as a pretender and a disgrace to his armor, refusing to acknowledge Jango Fett as the father of Boba and disparaging him for being a clone.
In response, their arsenal and armor were designed to combat them, and they began to often win as a result. The Mandalorian crusaders fought against the Jedi during their crusades. According to legend, Mandalore the Great fought a series of battles against the Jedi.
Mando love is pretty open, and marriage between clans can be used to form strong alliegances. Your clan doesn't like it, you can just leave or start another war (the perfect honeymoon, right?)
The Prime Jedi was an individual who became the first Jedi to ever use the Force. The Prime Jedi was also the founder of the Jedi Order, which they established on the planet Ahch-To around 25,025 BBY.
History. During the time of the Clone Wars, Bo-Katan served as Pre Vizsla's trusted right hand in Death Watch. The militaristic splinter group sought to restore Mandalore's warrior past, an ideal which Bo-Katan held -- even if it meant ousting her sister, Duchess Satine, from office.
