What you'll recognize: The movie is virtually a time capsule of Phoenix in the mid-'90s, displaying such locations as Biltmore Fashion Park, the Hermosa Inn, First Congregational United Church of Christ and the Arizona Supreme Court building.
Other historical accounts indicate Savannah value as a seaport as the reason for the city's sparing. Whatever the reason, all of Savannah's citizens today, as well as historians, are happy that the city was spared.
The Hermosa Inn is a small boutique hotel located in the Phoenix suburb of Paradise Valley near 32nd Street and Camelback Road. Though not as well known as some of the larger resort hotels in Phoenix, the Hermosa Inn has been highly rated by AAA and Fodor's.
Robin went through with the wedding and the Mother, aka Tracy (Cristin Milioti), later met Ted (Josh Radnor), her future husband. Rather than live happily ever after with Barney, the pair divorced as the series finale episode, "Last Forever", jumped forward in time.
Leon (Russell) - After playing Robin's married lover in the film, the actor went on to star in B*A*P*S, Ali, and Oz, and even played Little Richard in a TV movie based on his life. He currently has a few movies slated to premiere soon including Soul Ties and Busted.
Bernadine gets a large divorce settlement from her ex-husband and finds love with a widowed civil rights attorney who encourages her to pursue her catering dream.
"Getting to Happy (Waiting to Exhale#2)" is the sequel to "Waiting to Exhale" by Terry McMillan. The story takes place fifteen years later and the now middle-aged friends: Savannah, Gloria, Bernadine and Robin are still looking for lasting love, peace of mind and happiness!
Donald Faison (Tarik Matthews) - Since playing Gloria's teenage son in the film, an all-grown-up Donald Faison went on to take Hollywood by storm, starring in everything from Sabrina, the Teenage Witch to Scrubs.
It might have you in your feelings at points but it's not a super heavy or sad film. You can watch Waiting to Exhale and feel pretty upbeat by the end which I think is a great option for right now.
"Celebrate" was written and produced by R. Kelly and is the last song that Whitney Houston recorded; it is a duet between Houston and R&B/pop singer Jordin Sparks.
