Newt was one of four people to survive the infestation on LV-426, along with Ripley, Corporal Hicks and the android Lance Bishop, who was badly damaged. She later died when an EEV carrying her crashed on Fiorina "Fury" 161, causing her cryo-chamber to be flooded with water.
Carrie Henn was unable to reprise her role as Newt as she was too old for the part so Danielle Edmond took over the role in this installment for the brief autopsy scene with Newt's corpse.
Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) is the only survivor when she crash lands on Fiorina 161, a bleak wasteland inhabited by former inmates of the planet's maximum security prison.
As stated previously, Newt was given an ignominious death at the beginning of the third installment in the "Alien" franchise; despite safely making it off LV-426 with Ripley and Corporal Hicks, she is drowned when their escape pod lands in the water on the planet Fiorina 161, leaving Ripley as the only survivor.
The Alien, covered in molten metal, escapes the mold and is killed by Ripley when she turns on fire sprinklers and sprays the beast with water, causing its exoskeleton to cool rapidly and shatter via thermal shock.
Ripley soon learns that during her cryostasis aboard the escape pod, she was attacked by a Face Hugger, and impregnated with a Xenomorph embryo. A scan using the escape pod's barely functioning medical apparatus reveals this baby is none other than an Alien Queen.
Deciding it is best to destroy the embryo, Ripley decides to sacrifice herself after killing the Xenomorph, refusing to let Weyland-Yutani take her in alive. She dives into the furnace, destroying both herself and the embryo inside her.
In Alien 3, Ripley gets infected with a Xenomorph embryo by a Facehugger and lands on a prison planet following the unceremonious deaths of Hicks and Newt.
This game, set 15 years after the events of Alien and 42 years before the events of Aliens, features Ripley's daughter Amanda. Amanda was originally introduced in the extended version of Aliens, when Ripley learns that during her 57-years long stasis, Amanda grew up, married, and died.
Hicks took a romantic interest in Ripley from the start, although it seems Ripley was initially intimidated by this. He also respected Ripley's intelligence, courage and ability to stay calm and think straight during a dangerous situation.
It was never explained in the film how the egg(s) got aboard the Sulaco, but there have been several explanations suggested as to how it happened: (1) Some believe that the Queen either carried the egg with her from the hive in Aliens and planted it on the Sulaco or simply laid the egg there, despite having torn off ...
He was impregnated by a facehugger after it had emerged from the wreckage of one of the Sulaco's EEVs. Spike later died during the "the Dragon's" birth.
Flops become cult classics. Sometimes we misremember how a work was received in the first place. For much of the last 30 years, Alien 3 has been regarded as a flop, a major letdown after the genre-exploding successes of 1979's Alien and 1986's Aliens, and the worst film in the franchise.
In the comic book adaptation of Alien III, it was revealed that Newt was originally the one who was impregnated with the embryo of the Xenomorph Queen, but after Newt ended up drowning in her cryotube, the Queen transferred hosts to Ripley.
But because of so many re-writes of the script, Michael Biehn (along with director James Cameron) dropped out of the movie entirely, causing Hicks to be removed from the movie. In the original writing of ther script in Alien 3, Ripley supposedly was shown Hicks' dead body (with a Chestburster coming out).
Regardless, she then had Francis Aaron help her run a scan in the EEV and she then discovered she had been impregnated by a facehugger and had a Queen gestating inside her.
Unlike in the Aliens director's cut — where we learn that not only has Ripley lost 57 years of her life while floating through space in cryosleep, but she has also lost a daughter — Ripley's child is alive (albeit very old) in this treatment.
Unfortunately Ripley was carrying a Queen Alien embryo inside of her, which the company, Weyland Yutani, wanted to preserve to produce biological weapons. Ripley kills herself to avoid this. Centuries after the death of Ripley, scientists were able to clone her using DNA acquired from the incidents in Alien 3.
He was killed by a lone Xenomorph that was born in the prison in 2179. After Ellen Ripley arrived at the facility, she and Clemens became close, eventually sleeping together. Clemens was later killed by the Xenomorph in the infirmary where he worked.
After having sacrificed herself to kill the Alien queen gestating inside her in Alien 3, Ripley has been cloned using blood samples so that the military may extract the queen embryo. As a result of the cloning process Ripley has been affected by the Alien queen's DNA.
Ripley is in stasis for 57 years between Alien and Aliens, taking the franchise to the year 2179, which is also when Alien 3 takes place. The last film chronologically, Alien Resurrection, takes place in 2318, roughly 200 years after Alien 3 when Ripley is brought back as a clone.

Ripley 8 subsequently became involved in the Xenomorph outbreak and infestation aboard the Auriga. While outwardly human, cross-contamination of DNA between Ripley 8 and the Xenomorph inside her endowed Ripley 8 with several Xenomorph attributes; essentially, she was neither human nor alien, but something in between.
