The sequel sees Anna and Elsa head to the enchanted forest outside of Arendelle to discover why a mysterious voice has been calling to Elsa and to stop the enchanted spirits from destroying Arendelle.
Since Frozen and its spin-offs explored much of Arendelle, Frozen 3 may dive deeper into the lore of the Enchanted Forest and the Northuldra tribe. It may also explore Elsa's life in the Enchanted Forest after peace was restored between Northuldra and Arendelle.
Most notably, Frozen 3 ended with Anna becoming Queen of Arendelle. As the youngest sibling, it was not predictable that Anna would become Queen of the kingdom, a role that was instead always envisioned for Elsa, as proven by her coronation ceremony in the first Frozen film.
There hasn't been any indication that Elsa will have a girlfriend in Frozen III. That said, some fans have theorized that Honeymaren, a member of the Northuldra tribe, will be Elsa's girlfriend in the next Frozen film. Honeymaren was introduced in Frozen II as a resident of the Enchanted Forest.
Fans of the film also received a surprise earlier this month when Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that "Frozen 3" is in the works. Disney has hinted that a "Frozen 4" might be in the works as well.
As Frozen 3 is still in pre-production, it is not likely to arrive until 2025, which would also be six years since the release of Frozen 2. Disney currently has two release dates penned in for November 2025 - one is a Searchlight Pictures production set for 14 November.
“Frozen 3 is in the works and there might be a Frozen 4 in the works, too.” Iger admitted that he doesn't “have much to say about those films” as of right now, but confirmed that original Frozen creator Jennifer Lee “is hard at work with her team at Disney Animation on not one but actually two stories.”
However, the filmmakers were willing to say one thing definitively: "Elsa's not going to have a romantic relationship in this," writer-director Jennifer Lee told a group of journalists gathered at Walt Disney Animation Studios.
Frozen 3 Could Reveal That Anna's Powers Support Elsa's
Instead of being able to control fire or other such elements (there's already a fire spirit in Frozen 2), it seems more likely that Anna's magic works as a sort of support for Elsa's.
The people of Arendelle are joyously preparing for her coronation day. Anna (now 18) is flushed with excitement as the castle gates are opened for the first time since the sisters' childhood.

Although Elsa's disability is encoded as a magical ice power, the language the film uses to talk about her condition maps on to the experiences of people with physical, mental, and intellectual disabilities in recognizable ways.

An official release date for Toy Story 5 has not been announced so far and its status is 'in development' at Pixar. Judging by the release cycle of the previous films, we might be waiting up to four or five years for Toy Story 5 placing its release window at some time in 2027-2028.
