Gamora is the adopted daughter of Thanos, and the last of her species. Her powers include superhuman strength and agility and an accelerated healing factor. She also is an elite combatant, being able to beat most of the opponents in the galaxy. She is a member of the superhero group known as the Infinity Watch.
Over the years, Gamora became Thanos' favorite child, and he considered her the future heir to his throne, which only strengthened the growing wedge in her relationship with Nebula and in time, Gamora built up the reputation as the "deadliest woman in the galaxy" and became well known throughout the cosmos.
Probing Nebula's cybernetic memory banks, Thanos' suspicions were confirmed, that Gamora knew of the Soul Stone's location and had secretly admitted it to Nebula. Having decided to move further in his quest, Thanos lured the Guardians of the Galaxy to Knowhere where he took the Reality Stone, and ambushed them.
Gamora is one of Thanos' strongest minions of all, having been trained for years to be the ultimate assassin. Gamora is agile, hits hard, and shows no mercy, making her a real powerhouse among the Guardians.
That woman is Gamora, an incredibly adept student in the art of combat, war, and death, who has done both evil and good during her galaxy-wide travels. Among her victories: keeping reality safe alongside Adam Warlock, Infinity Watch, and the Guardians of the Galaxy, her current team-turned-family.

Why did Thanos love Gamora the most?
Since Gamora was most regularly successful in advancing his ideals and vision for the universe going forward, he favored her, equating her successes with love.

However, Drax maintained his immense strength and thirst for violence, which he was always known for. On the other hand, Gamora's origin remained intact. But in a recent video exploring the changes in her comic character to her MCU version, it's revealed that Gamora is actually much weaker than she should be.
While Thanos raised them as sisters, he repeatedly made them fight each other to test their strength. Every time they sparred, Gamora would win, and Thanos would "upgrade" one of Nebula's body parts, claiming that he was attempting to make Nebula Gamora's equal, so she could win next time.
And OOOPS SURPRISE Thanos has to sacrifice "what he loves most" in order to get the stone. His tears imply that he loves Gamora, but in one of my favorite movie moments of all time, Gamora spits back at him, "This isn't love."
Because she does not have a history with the Guardians, she does not reunite with them at the end of Endgame. Instead, she starts her own journey while Peter Quill is left mourning his dead girlfriend despite the existence of another version of Gamora in his universe.
Quill and the Guardians defeat Ego, and he develops a romantic relationship with Gamora. Quill participates in the conflict against Thanos, which results in Gamora's death and Quill becomes a victim of the Blip. He is resurrected by the Avengers and joins in the final battle against Thanos.
We've seen Baby Groot, and how much Gamora loves him in Volume 2, and how much he loves her. Like... that is his mom. And so there's a particular sadness here, where she doesn't remember him. "That, to me, is one of the saddest things in the entire movie, that your mother doesn't know who you are.
Thanos never cared much for Nebula, even going so far as to say in Guardians of the Galaxy that Gamora was his favorite. That could be because, to Thanos, Nebula was nothing more than a means to spare Gamora while still obtaining the Soul Stone.
Quill had left Earth behind when he became the new Emperor of Spartax and protected the galaxy as Star-Lord. He married L'ssa after he took the throne, and they had two children named Meredith and Jason after Quill's parents.
However, this film is about family and making choices that feel authentic to yourself and what you desire in your life. By the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Peter Quill and Gamora do not end up in a relationship with each other.
Gamora is arguably Peter's best friend and primary love interest to him. By the second film, Gamora and Quill are closer than the original and are best friends but both keep their attractions toward each other a secret. However, no matter how many times she denies it, Gamora has a romantic attraction to Peter Quill.
Starfire is strong, invulnerable to most attacks, can fly, and has powerful energy blasts. She's also a highly trained warrior. It would be a tough fight, but Starfire would defeat Gamora.
Mantis would only beat Gamora if she managed to catch her off guard & used her powers to subdue her by putting her to sleep but in terms of overall ability & skill Mantis could not keep up with Gamora.
Thanos had asked Gamora to pursue the soul stone. She accomplished her quest but did not inform her father. She told her sister that she knew about the presence of the stone in Vormir. Furthermore, she confessed that she had burned the map of the planet but memorized the data.
Nebula later pleaded with a past version of Gamora, revealing what their relationship was like in the future. Gamora's love for Nebula caused her to turn from their adoptive father for good.
