I think 4DX is just like 3D - when movies utilize it well it's absolutely revolutionary, immersive and mindblowing, and when they don't it's just kind of distracting.

So, if you don't have access to a 4DX cinema, an IMAX screen is a good second option. While your seats won't twist and turn with Ethan Hunt, you'll still be able to take in all the stunning visuals of the movie and the breath-taking action sequences in all their glory.

There is more strobing in the 4DX than I noticed in MX4D leading me to believe that MX4D doesn't have any. There is minimal scent in 4DX, and I only noticed it when we see Tony Stark at his cabin by the lake.
