Norman Osborn is the founder of Oscorp Technologies. After experimenting on himself with an unstable chemical, Norman developed an alternate, evil personality known as Green Goblin.
Doctor Norman Virgil Osborn is a scientist and CEO of Oscorp, who experimented on himself with an incomplete enhancement serum, causing Osborn to develop an alter known as Green Goblin. With Green Goblin in control, he fought Spider-Man, resulting in his demise.
Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, the first and best-known incarnation of the Green Goblin is Norman Osborn, who is regarded as one of the superhero Spider-Man's three archenemies, alongside Doctor Octopus and Venom.
Harry Osborn first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #31 (December 1965), and was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. According to Dafoe, his character's look was reimagined because fans of his original performance expressed disappointment that his Goblin mask didn't move and appeared overly cartoonish.
The small amount of Dafoe's mouth that we could see through the mask wasn't enough to help his performance. We couldn't see enough of his face for it to to help his performance, but we could see enough that it looked awkward. I didn't like that we could see Dafoe's eyes through the lenses, either.
Why did Peter stop Peter from killing Green Goblin?
By preventing Tom Holland's Peter from killing the Green Goblin in what would be an almost identical scene to the one in Spider-Man's, Tobey Maguire's Peter not only fixed his failure of not previously saving Norman, but also prevented Holland's from falling down a dark path.
The Goblin uses the opportunity to send his glider to impale Spider-Man from behind. Warned by his spider-sense, Spider-Man dodges, and the glider instead impales the Green Goblin, seemingly killing him.
