Did Walter get a new identity?
Walter revels in his success and adopts the Heisenberg alias in his business dealings going forward. In order to make larger batches of meth to take advantage of their new arrangement with Tuco, Walter and Jesse switch from using pseudoephedrine to methylamine as a precursor.
In an iconic final episode, Heisenberg does his best to make amends. Walt leaves all the remaining cash he accumulated for his children via some loophole shenanigans. He then apologizes to his family in the most genuine way he can muster and, finally, sacrifices himself to rescue Jesse Pinkman.
When He Blew Up Tuco's Headquarters With Fulminated Mercury. After Tuco's goons beat Jesse and rob his meth supply, Walt confronts Tuco at the headquarters of his operation – identifying himself as “Heisenberg” – and demands reimbursement for the stolen meth and compensation for Jesse's pain and suffering.
The moment Walt truly became irredeemable was when he poisoned young Brock Cantillo (Ian Posada) toward the end of season 4 since it was completely intentional. The character wasn't against making a power move, even if it meant hurting an innocent party in the process.
