Hardangerjøkulen Glacier, Norway Hardangerjøkulen is the sixth largest glacier in Norway and was the inspiration for the ice planet Hoth featured in The Empire Strikes Back. Filming also took place at the nearby town of Finse and its railway station, which became the Rebel Alliance's Echo Base.
Earth to Echo was actually shot in Santa Clarita, California, which can be seen in a billboard advertising dental care for a few seconds during the film. You can also see a store named Runnerslane this store is located in Santa Clarita.
At its height, the base housed 7,500 combat and command personnel, 350 medical personnel and 120 droids. The hangar was large enough to simultaneously house at least thirty GR-75 medium transports, sixty Rebel starfighters, twelve snowspeeders, the Millennium Falcon and the Outrider.
After the Battle of Yavin, the rebels fled from the Imperial starfleet, seeking a new main base of operations. They settled on the frozen Outer Rim world of Hoth, where they enlarged caverns to form Echo Base, defended by a powerful ion cannon and squads of airspeeders converted to operate in frigid conditions.
The hidden military base of the Rebel Alliance is located on its fourth moon, Yavin 4. The climactic space battle at the end of the film, in which the Rebel Alliance destroys the Death Star, takes place in orbit around the planet Yavin.

Echo Base was the facility established by the Rebel Alliance on the frigid planet of Hoth in the wake of the Battle of Yavin, so named due to its strange acoustics. Within a month of its establishment, the base was discovered by the Galactic Empire, which quickly invaded Hoth, forcing the Rebels to evacuate.
On the planet of Hoth, the temperature in summer, the hottest season, only crawled up to about 10 degrees below freezing. In contrast, the temperatures on Tatooine were so high that only a small part of the planet's northern hemisphere could sustain intelligent life.
Most of its surface was covered with glaciers and frozen ice plains. Another third of the planet was covered by oceans. The temperature, although always frigid, was known to drop to -60°C come nightfall.
The Alliance's desperate assault on the Death Star was successful, but costly. Of the twelve members of Red Squadron, only two—Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles—survived the assault. All members of Gold Squadron except Keyan Farlander reportedly died as well.

Echo is a multirole, adaptive robot with the most sophisticated artificial intelligence in the world, originally designed by Dr. Mina Liao for use during combat missions with Overwatch.
She was created by Dr. Mina Liao, who helped build the omnics — artificially intelligent robots in Overwatch — and was forced to watch as many of her robots took part in a global war. To try to ease her guilt, Dr. Liao joined Overwatch and designed Echo.
To find the Wampa, players will need to go to the top-right room on the map in Echo Base. From the landing zone, players can go down the hallway on the right and follow the path to the end, then turn left and go into the first room on the right.
The last frozen Rebel is in the room past the Kyber Brick. As soon as the last Rebel is freed, players will be awarded four Kyber Bricks for completing the challenge in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
Ezra and Thrawn's current whereabouts are unknown, but both Ezra's friends – a group led by Ahsoka and Sabine – and those still loyal to Thrawn learned from an ancient star map that they're stranded in an entirely different galaxy.
