Very triggering for animal lovers. Real dead rabbits are carried by some characters and tossed in the woods. A woman jumps from a very high distance, we do not see the jump but we see the aftermath and the twitching body with blood while she screams.
Several times in its life, a lobster casts off its shell. When the shell begins to inhibit the lobster's growth and development, the lobster has no choice but to discard its old shell and grow a new one. It is the same with humans.

What happened at the end of the movie The Lobster?
The final scene finds David and the Short-Sighted Woman in a diner struggling to find something in common only for David to retreat to the bathroom with a knife to blind himself so the couple can be the same.
Earlier in the film, when David states his reasons for choosing a lobster, he mentions that he loves the sea. At the end of the credits, we hear wind and waves. Is this a hint that David was unable to make a sacrifice for the supposed love of his life — much like the Hotel Manager's husband — and has accepted his fate?
