Thanos wasn't a would-be god who sacrificed trillions for the sake of love, he was a cosmic villain who killed all those life forms for no other reason than because he could, and he wanted Uatu to watch. And it was for this dark reason that Thanos made the Watcher immune to his Infinity Snap.
Thanos' snap, which killed half of all life, was completely random. Everyone had an equal chance of being dusted, and those who survived were just 'lucky'.
Note that all the members of the original Avengers team — Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye — survived Thanos' attack. Presumably they will unite one last time in Avengers: Endgame to reverse the curse.

On Earth, the Snap led to a five-year period in which the world fell into societal collapse and many countries abandoned their national borders. In 2023, the victims of the Snap were resurrected by the Avengers, after they went back in time to alternate timelines to acquire their own set of Infinity Stones.

Like most Asgardians, Thor is vulnerable to particular types of magic. One type of magic of Thor finds himself particularly vulnerable to that magic meant to charm an opponent. This makes Thor vulnerable to foes like Enchantress and her younger sister Lorelei.
Thanos is angered by (what he perceives to be) his lover being with somebody else. It's petty jealousy and an inability on Thanos' part to realise that he is not the person who makes Death happy. Deadpool slept with the one person Thanos thinks could truely love him, DEATH.
Thanos was truly driven mad by Deadpool. Deadpool had what Thanos always desperately craved, the attention and affection of Death.
