Both film versions of Bane so far have changed his backstory, and a theory explains it's all to benefit their respective versions of Batman. Bane has appeared in two different Batman movies, each one giving him a different backstory from the one in the comics, and a theory gives an explanation for these changes.
Nolan and company then decided to redub Bane's scenes to make his dialogues easier to understand but without fully losing that menacing tone he originally had, and in comparison with the IMAX presentation, his lines are clearer, but many viewers still found it hard to understand him.
Bane has abnormal physical strength as a result of having undergone experiments involving a derivative of the drug Venom. He became known as "The Man Who Broke the Bat" when he broke Batman's back, forcing Bruce Wayne to give up the Batman persona while he recuperated.
After Bane helped Talia al Ghul escape from the Pit, he was attacked by prisoners. However, a doctor failed to treat him and left him in chronic pain. Out of gratitude for saving his daughter, Ra's al Ghul liberated Bane from the Pit and provided him with a crude prototype mask to numb his pain.
Bane is tortured by a monstrous, terrifying bat creature that appears in his dreams, thus giving him an intense fear of bats. He ultimately established himself as the "king" of Peña Duro prison and became known as Bane.

Why is Bane so different in Dark Knight?
Rather than being born in the corrupt prison of Peña Duro, The Dark Knight Rises made Bane an inmate of “the Pit,” and rather than becoming the prison's most formidable member, he received his training from the League of Shadows for protecting Talia and helping her escape.
Except for Bane who, on more than one occasion, has proven that he is without a doubt Batman's intellectual equal. During the infamous "Knightfall" story arc, the villain did the impossible and broke Batman's back after deducing the hero's identity.
What will happen when Bane takes off his mask? It causes him a lot a pain, his mask is constanly giving him pain killers in the form of a gas, so taking it off would make him feel a lot of pain.
What would happen if you were to take Bane's mask off? “It would be extremely painful…for you.” Here, Bane says that it's not a good idea to mess with him, that any pain you might inflict on him, he'll return two-fold. Throughout the film, we see that Bane is a man of his word, and is never to be trifled with.
He has a white father, and a Latina mother. But as someone who never knew his father until he was an adult, who was born and spent his formative years in Pena Duro, the prison colony of Santa Prisca, and now as a man who still considers Santa Prisca his home, Bane is Latino by nationality as well.

Whether one loves or hates Hardy's Bane voice there's no question he did put a lot of thought into the way the character should speak. Ultimately, it seems Hardy and Nolan mainly wanted to avoid a “neutral tone villain voice” by giving Bane a strange and distinctive way of expressing himself.
Bane adopted Scandal Savage, the daughter of the immortal villain Vandal Savage, and her presence in his life immediately made him weak. Bane became so vulnerable because of the love he had for Savage that he realized he needed to cut ties with her completely if he ever hoped to be a proficient supervillain ever again.
So during Talia's escape the prisoners attacked Bane and tore his face apart. The doctors' attempts to fix Bane's face left him in incredible agony, therefore he has to wear the mask: to keep his face "in place" and to ease his pain.
He tells the site, "The choice of the accent is actually a man called Bartley Gorman, who was a bare knuckle fighter. A Romani gypsy. Which I wanted to underpin the Latin, but a Romani Latin opposed to Latino. His particular accent is very specific, which was a gypsy accent.
"You merely adopted the dark; I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding! The shadows betray you because they belong to me.” This is one of the most popular quotes by Bane.
The only moment during The Dark Knight Rises when Bane is not seen wearing the mask is during a flashback, during which Bane helps Talia al Ghul escape from the Pit, an underground prison where both are being held, though Bane is attacked for helping her find freedom.
And it wasn't until their final fight that Bane realized his mistake. Not only was Batman deflecting all his punches, he did so all while being in worse physical shape than him. One well-placed strike broke a part of Bane's mask, resulting in him struggling to breath and trying to piece it together while punching.
1. He may have some sort of mechanism that allows him to suck in liquefied nutrients through his mask. 2. He simply removes the mask while eating, and endures the pain.
He was born in prison, and his mother stayed with him to take care of him. King shows Bane's Mother getting killed in prison. Supposedly murdered by another inmate. In the original story, his Mother simply dies because she can no longer contend with the rigors of prison life.
In The Dark Knight Rises, Bruce Wayne explains to Officer Blake that the mask was to “protect the people closest to [him]” and that “the idea was to be a symbol—Batman could be anybody.” For Scarecrow, the Joker, and Bane, the mask is not a symbol of anonymity but represents their individuality.
As well financially Lex Luthor is doing better, so there's nothing really that Lex has to worry about Batman and I highly doubt Lex Luthor is questioning his intelligence to Batman. Lex Luthor is the smartest Human in the DC universe.
Bane is a criminal who uses a special type of Venom to gain superhuman strength. He is an excellent fighter with high intelligence (IQ of 187) and an army of loyal mercenaries under his command including his most loyal lieutenant, Bird.
