Serial Killer Charles Lee Ray posses a Good Guy doll to cheat death. After realizing that he would be stuck in the doll's body forever unless he finds another body he terrorizes Andy Barley since he was the first person he told his real identity to.
Unfortunately, as is so often the case, that Good Guy doll has been possessed by the spirit of a serial killer, the notorious Charles Lee Ray. After gruesomely murdering several people in Andy's life, Chucky attempts to transfer his soul into Andy so that he can be a real boy.
He sees his rivalry with Andy as a sick game. Andy is really the only one who can stop Chucky and if Andy is out of his life, then there's no challenge for Chucky. Even when he was being tortured by Andy, Chucky still saw the fun in messing with him like laughing at his failed attempt to prove Nica's innocence in Cult.
In reality the murders are being committed by the doll, which was possessed by serial killer Charles Lee Ray (aka Chucky). The duo go on to become archenemies.
The Colonel's final words. The Colonel (2021 – 2022) was a Good Guy doll possessed by a piece of the original Chucky's soul. He believed himself to be the supreme Chucky and murdered many others, taking Andy Barclay as a hostage and becoming a cannibal by eating parts of him.

Does good Chucky turn bad?
As a result, his persona changed from one of murder and toxicity to one of almost childlike innocence. However, the dam seemingly began to break as the “real” Chucky poked through, resulting in the defenestration of Nadine as well as a full-on return to evil once Andy Barclay and the gang came to give him an exorcism.
Mostly, Vincent acknowledges, "by torturing [Chucky] and gaining knowledge from him." In "Cult of Chucky" (2017), fans witnessed how Andy was able to harness his pain and anger and take it out on a severed Chucky head that he kept locked away to spend hours at a time torturing.
Also known as the Lakeshore Strangler, we first meet Chucky in his original human form as he's running from the cops in Chicago. Upon being shot, he uses voodoo and an amulet, the Heart of Damballa, to transfer his soul into the closest vessel: a Good Guy doll.

The Chuckys reveal that the original Chucky found a voodoo spell on the internet which allowed him to separate his soul into multiple host bodies, creating a "cult." Alice was one host, but she was killed.
He only became evil due to his sadistic desire to hurt and kill others, shown when his father was killed by the Hackensack killer, and decided to become just like him because he was inspired by the killers actions.
After her husband's funeral, she is kidnapped by Charles, but manages to call the police. Charles angered by her rejection, pulls out a knife and stabs her in the stomach before fleeing the oncoming police. Because she was pregnant with Nica, his actions cause her to be paraplegic.
The longer he inhabits the doll, the more that doll starts to take on human characteristics, meaning that he can be wounded like a regular person. His other downfall is his heart - not because he's secretly a softy, but because a bullet there can killed him.
The only way to get a real body again is to transfer his soul to the first person he revealed his true identity to. So, Chucky spends two movies trying to transfer his soul into young Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent) but fails. First Andy burns and dismembers him (with help; he's six after all).
Films. In Curse of Chucky, Nica Pierce is a paraplegic woman with an unspecified heart disease triggered by stress. She lives with her mother Sarah in a large house with a cage elevator she uses to move between the levels. One day a package arrives containing a Good Guy doll.
Chucky insists the child is a boy and should be called Glen, while Tiffany argues that they're a girl and should be named Glenda. When asked, the doll replies they don't know what they are. During the film, the doll switches between identifying as Glen and Glenda and changes their pronouns and presentation accordingly.
At the end of the film, Andy, his mother Karen, and two police detectives, Mike Norris and Jackie Santos, try to fight off Chucky. After he's lit on fire and loses both an arm and a leg, Karen shoots him repeatedly, and he is even beheaded. It isn't until Norris shoots Chucky in the heart that he finally dies.
The Child's Play franchise is known for its brutal, high kill counts. Racking up the kills together from all seven movies, Chucky has killed a total of 67 people.
Chucky and Tiffany make plans to transfer their souls into Redman and Jennifer. Tiffany knocks them out and uses a turkey baster to inseminate Jennifer with Chucky's semen, intending to use her baby as a host for Glen's soul.
It's possible that Chucky didn't actually love Sarah and was just using her as an experiment to see how families work. Chucky's main goal was to start a family with Tiffany but he didn't know how families worked which is why he needed an observation to see how families work by using Sarah.
Chucky's middle name, Lee, hails from Lee Harvey Oswald, the man ultimately blamed for the 1963 assassination of U.S. president John F. Kennedy, although conspiracy theorists still love to proclaim that he was a patsy framed for the crime by people with powerful connections.
“Yes, Chucky has the upper hand now, but as you see from the very last scene and last shot of Episode 4, he is more vulnerable than he has ever been. Chucky is aging and dying. The stakes are completely different now.” It's not just the visible signs of aging that are plaguing the serial killer though.
He first appeared as Andy Barclay in Child's Play (1988) when he was a six-year-old. Two years, later during the filming of Child's Play 2 (1990), the young actor endured long days and demanding action that would have tried the patience of many an older person.
Andy makes it back to the apartment, but Chucky follows him. Chucky knocks him unconscious with a baseball bat, and begins the ritual to transfer his soul. Luckily Norris and Karen burst in just in time to save Andy.
