The pin, then, is a reminder of the Capitol's failure, of the possibility of the Capitol's failure, and thus hints at the possibility of rebellion. Mockingjays repeat patterns of notes they hear, and Rue and Katniss use them to communicate with one another during the Games.
For instance, the pin signals to Rue that she can trust Katniss. It also delivers a message to the Capitol, a reminder of how their own weapons can be manipulated and used against them, the Hunger Games included. The mockingjays will carry messages between Rue and Katniss, too, and help them with their plan.
Rue likes mockingjays because they are her "special friends" and they repeat her songs. Katniss likes mockingjays because they remind her of her father.

On the show Euphoria, Rue is so depressed that she can't get out of bed to go to the bathroom. Depression can definitely cause a lack of motivation and changes in energy levels, causing some people to do destructive things towards their health.
Rue had a gentle and kind nature. Her greatest joy in life was music, and she loved singing with the mockingjays at home. The mockingjays liked her and were used to her; a few were even her special friends because she was the one who sang a four-note melody that signaled the end of a work day out in the fields.
During high intensity scenes in the first season, Rue wears glitter that mimics tears. Because of Rue's traumatic past, we know she struggles with depression and often wears it on her sleeve as a cry for help. Through season two, Rue becomes more bare faced as she continues her struggle with addiction.
Rue reminds Katniss very much of her sister, Prim. Katniss acts as the primary protector of Rue once the two become allies. In this sense, she continues the role that she formerly played with her sister, Prim. Katniss and Rue share food, supplies, and stories about their lives.
Katniss never hallucinates about her dad's death after being stung by tracker jackers. Rue's dad doesn't start a riot in District 11 after his daughter's death. Haymitch doesn't convince the Game Maker to change the solo victor rule.
Could Rue have potentially survived the Games, had she not made an alliance with Katniss? Shadows n Secrecy Rue could survive perfectly fine on the fruits found around the arena since she's got good plant knowledge.
In The Hunger Games, Prim was chosen because she was wearing the mockingjay pin. I noticed Katniss gives Prim the Mockingjay pin before the reaping and prim wears it on her lapel. Considering many in district 12 can't afford jewellery, she stands out during a ceremony that's televised to all citizens.
What: In the book, Katniss receives her iconic mockingjay pin from schoolmate Madge Undersee. (The pin originally belonged to Madge's aunt, who died in an earlier Hunger Games.) In the movie, Madge is nowhere to be seen, and Katniss receives the pin from one of the black marketeers in the Hob.
Why did Katniss put flowers around Rue when she died?

Well, it turns out, there is a very real reason why she was doing so, since they are common symptoms of opioid withdrawal. Turning back the clock, the episode starts with Leslie, Rue's mother, confronting her daughter about her relapse.

Snow personally fired Tigris, blaming her feline surgical enhancements. As Tigris Snow eventually explains to Katniss Everdeen, President Snow fired her because she wasn't pretty enough to be a stylist for the tributes anymore. In reality, it was probably due to his twisted views after gaining power.
Throughout the years, Tigris started to get surgical enhancements, specifically to alter her looks to look somewhat like a tiger getting face and arm tattoos, flattening her nose and getting some of the largest whiskers Katniss had ever seen from a Capitol citizen.
She remembers that they did indeed promise not to lie to each other anymore, and she realizes that Snow wasn't lying to her about Coin's role in the parachute bombing. He has no reason to lie to Katniss. His death is certain, but the future of the Capitol is not.
