I actually found "Child's Play" to be a very scary film. I did not find it too gory,but what gore there is it was done to heighten intensity levels to the extreme. All in all,I wholeheartedly recommend it to any open-minded viewer,who likes to watch horror movies. The hammer in the head scene still gives me goosebumps.
This film can get a bit bloody, but not incredibly bad. A man's head is shredded by a lawn mower of sorts. You see some sort of chunky blood splat onto his face and a chunk of his head shoot out then end.
What happened to the garbage man in Child's Play 3?
Before Chucky can enact the voodoo soul-swapping ritual to possess Tyler, Cochrane interrupts them and confiscates the doll, throwing it into a garbage truck. Chucky escapes by luring the driver into the truck's compactor and crushing him to death.
The writers decided not only to include a nude woman, but also doll nudity (Tiffany reveals herself to Chucky). Also, Jennifer Tilly wears a cleavage-revealing outfit the entire movie. Not only would I not recommend this movie for children or families, I would not recommend this film to anyone who is a movie fanatic.
Strong profanity. Parents need to know that teens will want to watch Bride of Chucky because of its affiliation with a long-running horror franchise beginning with Child's Play. The film is filled with over-the-top violence and gore and is permeated with sexual innuendo.
No nudity or sex, but two teens are seen lying in bed together, and two other teens share a kiss. Teen girls are shown wearing tight, sexy clothing from time to time. Freddie occasionally makes some sexual remarks aimed at the teen girls.

The 'Child's Play'/Chucky films are very variable, with the first film being by far the best. None of the sequels are as good, though don't consider them unwatchable. 'Child's Play 3' has been deemed one of the, sometimes the, worst in the series.

Arguably the most goriest scene was when Chucky uses a chainsaw to saw a woman in half vertically, we see two halves of her body shown on the floor with blood splat everywhere! A teenage girl bisects a killer doll into many pieces with a chainsaw.
From there, the typical mayhem follows, with plenty of doll-style murders, witty lines from Chucky and a great finale at the Good Guy doll factory. While the original Child's Play is a terrifying classic, part 2 is somewhat of a step down, only because one knows what to expect, for the most part.
