The original scene featured a dryer. But Disney changed it after they released the first edition of the DVD. According to CinemaBlend, “It was decided to remove the dryer and change Lilo's hiding space to ensure that little kids didn't follow in her footsteps and start hiding in dryers, which can be dangerous.”
But why did the editors change the scene? The scene appears to have been changed because the big wigs behind Disney understandably likely didn't want to encourage any little kids to get into dryers, which hurts over 2,000 kids a year and kills a few as well.
So, there has been a differences in a scene where Lilo hides from Nani. In the Disney Plus version, they've changed the dryer to a wooden pizza cupboard. It's because in the original release, Lilo was hiding in the dryer. The Disney company thinks it's too dangerous for the children to copy what's Lilo doing.
In the original, Lilo hid in a clothes dryer, which was changed to a commode with a cabinet and pizza box used as a "door" to avoid influencing children to hide in dryers.
The scene where Lilo hides from her older sister in the dryer had to be edited to get an U-Rating. The appliance was therefore changed to a commode with a pizza box to prevent little kids from imitating to hide in the dryer.

Is Lilo autistic?
While it is never explicitly stated that Lilo is autistic and some of those traits can be explained by emotional trauma this does not preclude her from being autistic. A lot of autistic people including myself found her to be extremely relatable.
An original version of a scene for the film included Stitch and his friends hijacking an airplane to try and save Lilo, causing it to crash through buildings in a busy city. Due to the September 11 attacks, this scene was shortened and revised to an alien ship crashing into mountains.
Lilo's abandoned child syndrome is recognized as PTSD and to help deal with her abandonment trauma and her schizotypal personality disorder, Lilo participates in interpersonal therapy as well as family therapy with Nani.
Pudge is an unknown species of tropical fish who was first seen in the opening of Lilo & Stitch. He also appeared in Lilo & Stitch: The Series in the episode "Sinker", and was mentioned in "Cannonball" and "Ploot". Lilo feeds him a peanut butter sandwich every Thursday because she believes Pudge controls the weather.
After Cobra sees Lilo nearly drown when surfing with Nani, David, and Stitch, he decides to take Lilo away the next morning, though he is sad about it (it can be assumed that he saw her drown and unjustly blames Nani for her near-death, not knowing the whole story).
Lilo turns 7 in the original movie's ending montage and remains that age throughout Lilo & Stitch 2 and Stitch: The Movie. She then has her 8th birthday in the TV series and she is almost 10 by the end of Leroy & Stitch.
In this sequence, Lilo arrives late to dance practice during a traditional Hawaiian routine. Soaking wet and more interested in her exploration of the beach, she makes the dance floor slippery and ruins the rehearsal.

Lilo is a small, short, chubby, little, 6-year-old (7 at the end of Lilo & Stitch) Hawaiian girl with long, straight black hair, large, dark and almond-shaped brown eyes, a big nose and a round chubby face due to her age. She is most often seen wearing a red muumuu with white leaf patterns all over it and blue sandals.
