She personally assigned Peeta to join the squad despite the fact that his hijacking had brainwashed him into trying to kill Katniss. This was presumably an attempt on Coin's part to dispose of the girl amid the battle, making her a martyr and preventing her from becoming a threat to Coin's authority after the war.
Coin wants to remain in power after the revolution, and if Katniss isn't going to support Coin's leadership, then Coin will use her in whatever way she can to give the rebellion momentum. For now, that might mean turning Katniss into a martyr. For everyone's safety, the crew sets up an around-the-clock guard on Peeta.
Plutarch, who knew the effect that Katniss had on President Snow, was adamant that she be the one to become the symbol of the revolution. Coin, conversely, felt that Peeta would have been more useful because of his charisma and ease in addressing the masses.
Coin feels threatened by Katniss' rebellious nature. In the end, her own delusional idea of Panem is her undoing, since she ignorantly trusts that Katniss is okay with her being the new president of Panem.

Brutus was the male Career tribute from District 2 for the 75th Hunger Games, and the victor of the 43rd Hunger Games. He went down in history as the tribute to get the most kills in one edition of the Games, killing eleven of his competitors.
According to Liam Hemsworth, Jennifer Lawrence would purposely eat foods with garlic or tuna before any kissing scenes between them. For Peeta to look like he was tortured, many think he went on an extreme diet. But in reality, they used CGI to slim his face and make him look abused and beaten.
Snow laughs after Katniss killed Coin because he enjoys the irony of the situation. He avoided the official execution ceremony, even though Panem's citizens still take their revenge on him, while Katniss ends up snatching away the victory and power that Coin thinks she has successfully secured.

In the end, it is Gale's conviction in the necessity of sacrifice pitted against Katniss' moral incoherence that truly severs any relationship they had or could ever have. Primrose, Katniss' sister, is killed by a firebomb that may have been designed by Gale.
And while Gale certainly didn't intend for Prim to die (sending her onto the battlefield at all was Coin's choice alone, and a deliberate move to put her in harm's way, regardless of who pulled the trigger), the loss of innocent life was a core element of Gale's strategy when designing the bombs.

After winning the games, Snow forced Finnick into prostitution and sold his body to Capitol residents to gain their trust. Finnick only agreed to take part because Snow threatened to torture his loved ones. Even though he bedded several women throughout his time as a victor, Finnick's love for Annie remained true.

Strangely enough, it never comes up again in later books, and Peeta continues as normal. This is probably a major reason why Peeta doesn't lose his leg in the movie adaptation of The Hunger Games. Creating a fake prosthetic would've been time-consuming for the filmmakers and the actor.
