After Batman had his back broken by Bane, Azrael took on the Batman mantle only to prove himself a psychotic murderer who didn't care about saving the lives of civilians, only in punishing those deemed as sinners.
While originally an ally and even apprentice of Batman, Azrael was the one to adopt the Batman moniker following the Dark Knight's crippling defeat at the hands of Bane. Following this he revealed his true colors as a mad zealot in his blind massacres of criminals and those in his way, making him an enemy of Batman.

While he heals, Bruce asks Jean-Paul Valley for help. Jean-Paul, otherwise known as Azrael, was a young vigilante at the time, possessing a dark past Batman and his sidekick Robin AKA Dick Grayson had been helping him overcome. So when Bruce asks him to take on the mantle of the Bat in his absence, Jean-Paul agrees.
At the church, Azrael reveals that he has been sent to observe Batman, believing he is a warrior foretold by an ancient prophecy. He reveals he was sent by the Order of St. Dumas to deliver the prophecy to Batman, claiming he is Gotham's only hope.
An elite-level martial artist, Steel Serpent has also learned to channel his chi as well as draw on mystical power from other sources. This has allowed him to enhance himself up to superhuman levels, more than enough to take Azrael down.
Jean-Paul Valley, better known as Azrael, is a vigilante who formerly operated out of Gotham City. At one point taking the mantle of Batman when the original was broken by Bane, he was forcibly fired from the role and returned to his position as Azrael.
Endings. Kill Batman: Azrael grabs his sword from a shelf, having given it to Batman earlier as a sign of trust, and tries to strike down the Dark Knight from behind. However, Batman counters, and knocks out Azrael, who Batman then locks up in the GCPD.
One of Azrael's most iconic achievements within his career as a vigilante was his triumphant defeat of Bane after the terrorist had broken the back of Batman and took over Gotham City's criminal empire near the end of the famous comic book event Batman: Knightfall.
If you break the sword, azreal says he is no one's pawn and goes after the people who experimented on him. I thought you had to take the sword anyway before you can make the choice. *Azrael breaks the sword and leaves through the elevator, swearing to destroy St. Dumas for brainwashing him like they did.
You now have a choice of how this ends as Azrael. Take up the sword and approach Batman. You will have the chance to either attack Batman, or destroy the blade. The choice is yours, and while the end of the quest plays out differently, both options will still end the side quest, counting for Gotham's Most Wanted.
Azrael has the power to end life, separating the soul from the body and transitioning the soul into the afterlife. In addition, Azrael commands the ranks of lesser angels who assist him. He also keeps track of every human currently alive on Earth.
This version of Michael is depicted as Lucifer's twin brother, and in opposition to Lucifer's nature, he is calculating and scheming, a frequent liar, and is able to bring out people's fears in a manner similar to Lucifer's ability to bring out their desires.
Samael is a fallen archangel who was banished from Heaven after attempting a failed rebellion against his father, being sent to Hell as its new ruler and later changing his name to Lucifer.
The Lilith myth is the subject of the episode "Lilith: Queen of the Night" from the third season of the Canadian documentary series The Naked Archaeologist. Lilith appears in Hazbin Hotel. She is the ex-wife (first wife) of Adam, the first human, wife of Lucifer, queen of hell, and mother of Charlie.
