Echo concludes with a showdown between Maya and her surrogate father, Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio), and instead of avenging her biological father's (Zahn McClarnon) murder, she used her powers to access the treacherous crime lord's mind in hopes of healing the childhood trauma that made him who he is today ...
After shooting her “uncle” Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) in the face in the finale of Hawkeye as revenge for Fisk, aka The Kingpin, having her father (Zach McLarnon) killed, she's fled back home to Tamaha.
He tells Maya that her boss—who we find out later is Fisk, a.k.a. Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio)—wanted her father dead; this convinces her to leave him and his family alone. Toward the end of the last episode, Maya and Fisk are together in an alley, and she shoots him, leaving him for dead.
Operating very much in the grey area she has come to inhabit so well, after Maya learns that Fisk is the one responsible for her father's death, she decides to hit the Fisk criminal empire where it hurts — by knocking out their supplies.

Does Kingpin actually care about Maya?
From what we see, it appears that Fisk genuinely cares about Maya, which would be the most plausible explanation for why he ends up in many situations where he is vulnerable around her instead of being his carefully guarded self. This retroactively takes away from his character development in Daredevil season one.
William Lopez was a commander of the Tracksuit Mafia, the brother of Henry Lopez and the father of Maya Lopez. When Taloa Lopez died, William was disowned by his family and moved to New York. He was then murdered by Ronin acting on a tip from Kingpin.
"If you're a fan of Kingpin and Daredevil - the old comics - you know that Kingpin never dies," he tells the site. "We just had to figure out a clever way of [moving] on from that shot towards the face and how we bring it into Echo, and we came up with a really cool thing. He does get hurt pretty bad."

It leads Kingpin to retreat from one of his many moments of bloodlust, perhaps, at least briefly, a changed man? Probably not.
Maya was then taken in by Fisk, who assured her that he was there for her and that he would locate her father's killer. Maya responded that she would kill her father's murderer if she found him, to which Fisk agreed.
“Taloa is Maya's mother,” she said. “That is the character I'm playing, she is a Deaf and Indigenous woman. Maya is also Deaf and Indigenous. I think that that is a special relationship because there's such a great connection between the mother and daughter.”

Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'onofrio) makes a major return in Marvel's Echo, much to the surprise of Maya Lopez who shot Kingpin at the end of Hawkeye. Regardless, Kinpin still cares for Maya who had long seen him as an uncle before she learned the truth about Fisk having her father killed.
