Sauron began his days as Mairon (“the admirable”), a powerful Maia—spirits who came to Arda to help the Valar shape the world. (Other Maia include Gandalf and Saruman.) He was a pure and orderly being in the beginning, who studied the craft of forging. But he grew selfish, and eventually aligned himself with Morgoth.
Sauron was the most powerful of the Maiar—primordial spirits created to help the Valar first shape the World. His original name was Mairon, which means "the Admirable," and as an immortal spirit born before the world's creation, he was able to perceive the Creator Eru Ilúvatar directly.
Sauron, at his most pure form was a Maia spirit who worked with the Vala Aulë. He had no set physical form but like others of the Maiar could take on any form he chose whether humanoid or animal.
Is Sauron a human or elf? Sauron was neither a human nor an Elf, but he could have resembled either in his fair disguise in the Second Age, particularly as Annatar.
Sauron was originally a shape-shifting fallen angel and could take on various forms, including a vampire and a werewolf. Sauron's final form was terrifying and demonic, reflecting his own hate and evil, and he did not wear armor in the books.

Did Sauron love Galadriel?
"So I think in his pitch to Galadriel, it cannot mean that he loves her or that there's any kind of romantic relationship. There should be no ambiguity around the fact that Sauron is evil — he's terrible, and he's using Galadriel to enhance his power."
Drawing from the Bible, Tolkien's history explains that Sauron was originally an angelic spirit known as the Ainur before he signed up with Morgoth and started wreaking havoc on the world. This explains why Sauron still exists thousands of years later, after his defeat at the hands of Isildur.
Sauron seemed to genuinely feel a connection to her, and part of that came from sensing the darkness inside of Galadriel. In that regard, his offer was really a seduction to the dark side.
Bloodlines are very important in Tolkien's stories, and it makes a lot of sense that Sauron would fear the great-grandson of the man who cut off his hand. Aragorn carried the blood of Numenor with him. His genetic connection to the heroes of the Second Age established him as a dangerous opponent of Sauron.
But, we are talking about Gandalf the White. This Gandalf defeated Saruman, so he is also above Saruman. However, he is still les powerful then Sauron.
Finally Sauron came out to fight Elendil and Gil-galad face to face. When Elendil fell, his sword Narsil broke beneath him. Isildur took up the hilt-shard of Narsil and cut the One Ring from Sauron's hand, vanquishing Sauron.
Although Sauron's origins are angelic, he becomes captivated by the idea of ordering things as per his own will, which might be a possible reason behind him being lured by Morgoth, a Dark Lord who corrupted countless souls and waged wars against Elves and Men throughout the First Age.
Unlike the First Lord, Sauron's goal was never to destroy Middle-earth. Instead, he wanted to rule in total power, giving him complete control over maintaining order as he saw fit. Sauron was not always evil; he is rooted in good. It is the excess, the obsession with his organization, that turns him into the Dark Lord.
Additionally, while he was in his weakened state, Galadriel could hold him off through the power of will alone. However, if Sauron had his One Ring and faced off in a battle against Galadriel, it's unlikely that there would be much she could do.
In his notes, Tolkien remarks that Sauron saw Galadriel as his equal. Add that to the fact that she's untrusting of Sauron (yes, even when he's in his Annatar guise) and an unwavering, single-minded force, and it's more likely than not that Sauron feared Galadriel — or the potential she held to upend his plans.
Vickers' comments imply that Sauron's intentions with Galadriel were primarily political in his dealings with the elves and that he was using her to elevate his power as a ruler over middle earth.
Meanwhile, a few faithful Númenóreans, led by Elendil, were saved from the flood, and they founded Gondor and Arnor in Middle-earth. Sauron still considered them his hated enemies and he launched a pre-emptive attack on Gondor in S.A. 3429.
Sauron's only interest was an order or to work upon the world in an orderly state, even in the beginning, Mairon really had no love interest. Despite his deceptive attributes, he was a trickster and a seducer, he had little care for attempting to love someone.
For those that haven't read Tolkien's work, it's easy to see why many audiences suspect Gandalf and Galadriel are in love. After all, many of their interactions in The Hobbit trilogy practically scream romance. However, their relationship remains purely platonic in Tolkien's source material.
Galadriel was one of the Ñoldor who came to Middle-earth wishing to see the lands and rule a realm of her own. She came with the second host of Elves from Aman with Fingolfin and Finrod. In Doriath, she and Celeborn fell in love and married.
Since their will was not bound to Sauron now, it is more likely that they ran away in terror and scattered across Middle-earth. After Sauron's defeat, Aragorn and his army killed the remaining Orcs in Mordor.
However, I would consider that his Pride was his weakest point, his arrogance was a weakness of his character. Sauron was mighty and knowledgeable in the lore of the physical world, as he was a Maia of Aulë and he also learnt much from Melkor. However, his evil diminished his wisdom.
Here are the pieces of evidence that Sauron had no family. He was a Maia, an angel (to use the term Tolkien himself used in his letters) created by Eru (God). Thus he did not have a familial father, mother, brothers, or sisters.
