The High Table are the main antagonists of the John Wick franchise. They are a council of 12 crime bosses from some of the world's most powerful criminal organizations, including the Mafia, the Camorra, Ndrangheta, the Triads and the Ruska Roma.

It's composed primarily of twelve individual gangs, each of whom supplies a leader to sit at the Table. Only seven of the twelve factions have been revealed in the films. The Russian Bratva, Chinese Triad, Japanese Yakuza, Latin American cartels, and Italian Camorra, Cosa Nostra, and 'Ndrangheta each occupy a seat.
The only person who sits above the High Table and can overrule it is the Elder. He lives in seclusion in an African desert and cannot be found by anyone. To meet him, John Wick had to wander those sands until near death, hoping the Elder would opt to find him.
