Most of them escape, save for Spider, and it's revealed that Spider's dad in Avatar is none other than the villain Quaritch. Quaritch and Spider suffer a complex dynamic throughout the film, with Spider ultimately saving his life in the end.
Even though he thought of himself as one of the Na'vi, he learned humanity from Jake. So, leaving someone for dead when he could clearly save them is something he learned from Jake. Secondly, he saved Quaritch because he wanted to return the favor. Earlier in the film, Neytiri almost killed him.
Cameron also said that Spider would serve as "the pivot point in between Quaritch and Jake." This could mean that Spider holds the key to Quaritch's redemption which could stop the endless blood feud between him and Jack.

Wainfleet killed Neteyam in the second movie and will likely have a strong emotional impact on Jake and Neytiri. With multiple villains returning and with the Na'vi living on through Eywa, death is certainly not a finite state in the Avatar universe.
Unless that theory is true, Grace was impregnated by someone. Kiri's brothers joke that the scientist Norm could be her father. The movie does not reveal much information about the birth of Kiri. It is unclear whether Kiri was conceived before Grace died and her avatar carried her to term.
Spider thus exists in a nebulous space when it comes to his identity. He's the offspring of the worst of mankind and wishes to resist his background, yet he cannot completely participate in the culture he admires and, in the case of his crush on Kiri, adores.
Spider and Kiri have been soulmates since childhood, as both are different from other Na'vi children. They became orphans because of the war, creating a unique bond between them, as orphans can understand each other better. Spider only knows his father, not his mother, and Kiri only knows her mother, not her father.
Avatar's prequel comic, Avatar: The High Ground, revealed that Paz Socorro is Spider's mom, a Scorpion pilot for the Resources Development Audition (RDA).
Augustine's colleague Norm Spellman (Joel David Moore) was the father and Grace conceived Kiri before the end of Avatar before somehow giving birth in her Avatar body. However, the more interesting theory is that Kiri is literally the child of Eywa due to some sort of immaculate conception.

Spider's mother is Paz Socorro, who was a Scorpion pilot in Quaritch's squad. She died during the assault on the Tree of Souls and her son became an orphan. Miles was raised by other humans living on Pandora and eventually became part of the Sully family.
Rotxo is commonly confused to be one of the boys who bullied Kiri and later pranked Lo'ak due to the bully having a very similar hairstyle. The caption in this scene even has his name in the line [ROTXO:“I don't know”] in response to Aonung asking what she's doing.
She explains that Eywa is so close to her that she can hear Eywa's breath and heartbeat. Compared to her siblings, Kiri adapted much more quickly to the free-diving lifestyle of the Metkayina and experiences little to no trouble staying underwater for long periods of time despite a lack of training.
The Soul Tree is the heart of Eywa, the goddess that guides all of Pandora. Avatar: The Way of Water illustrates that Kiri has a special connection to Eywa, which means she can wield powers and feel her more deeply than other Na'vi.
Indeed, Kiri's father in Avatar may not exist at all. Considering what Avatar and Avatar 2 has revealed - and withheld - regarding Kiri's true nature, the most likely explanation for this mystery is that Kiri was created by Eywa through the Tree of Souls. Kiri may even be a direct reincarnation of Grace.
Kiri is the inquisitive and intelligent adopted daughter of Jake Sully and Neytiri. Not long after Grace Augustine's death, her dormant avatar was discovered to be pregnant, and Jake and Neytiri adopted the child when she was born.
Kiri is a young Na-vi around fourteen years of age. Since she was conceived through an avatar body (a genetically engineered human/Na'vi-hybrid body, designed to serve as a remotely controlled vessel for a human mind) she was born with human-like traits, such as eyebrows and five fingers instead of four.
Having been raised by the Omatikaya clan as well as the few humans who stayed on Pandora after the events of the first Avatar film, Spider is Na'vi in everything but his physical form.
While Dr. Grace Augustine died in the first movie, Kiri ended up miraculously being born of Grace's inert avatar. This means that, while Kiri was raised by Jake and Neytiri, her real mother was Grace, and Weaver returned to the franchise to voice the teenage girl.
Another theory would be that Kiri tapped too much into her connection with Eywa without any sort of training which ended up causing her strong seizure. Her connection to Eywa also allowed her to briefly meet her deceased mother, Dr. Grace, in a vision and even communicate with her.
What we do know is that Grace's last moments of consciousness in Avatar are tied to a Tree of Souls. She seemingly died during that ritual, but she also said that she was "with" Eywa, and we now know that while Grace might not be fully alive anymore, something of her essence was preserved in her Na'vi avatar.
