The map is about twice as big as the original, adding in a chunk of the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens to go along with Manhattan, and the web wings offer a new way of traversing the huge map.
While Insomniac has yet to officially announce new story plans for Spider-Man 2, a major leak from December 2023 that resulted in millions of files surfacing online confirmed three DLC releases are in development.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 ends with Peter hanging up his suit for a while, leaving Miles in charge of protecting the city. While Insomniac has confirmed Miles is the new lead Spider-Man in their universe, this doesn't mean Peter is retiring or won't be playable in future installments.
To the writers, the true villain of this story is not Kraven or Venom; it's whiteness. The reason this game gets such a high wokeness score is because it is fundamentally a story about decolonizing Spider-Man, and nearly every part of the narrative supports this though it isn't necessarily obvious while you're playing.

As well as offering a much larger map, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will feature an expanded open-world experience. Existing locations have been overhauled to feature new lighting, more complex crowds, and new details that leverage the power of the PS5.

Peter Parker's pal Harry Osborn is the main host of Venom in Insomniac's Spider-Man 2, and you might remember that the symbiote was shown attaching itself to Osborn at the end of Spider-Man (2018).
