Thor and Loki used the Bifrost to travel to Earth to New York City in order to find their father. After his death, Hela was released, and Loki called for the Bifrost to take him and Thor from Norway to Asgard.
Still licking his wounds, Loki next appeared in 2012's The Avengers. Using a scepter with mind control capabilities—a gift from Thanos (Josh Brolin)—Loki staged his takeover of Thor's favorite realm: Midgard. With the help of the Chitauri, Loki opened a portal to Earth and arrived at an underground S.H.I.E.L.D.
The escape pods. Most big ships, such as the Statesman, have multiple escape pods. Thanos wants only half the population to live so he let the rest escape along with Valkyrie, Korg, and Miek. They somehow made their way to Earth and settled in Norway.
We didn't know Loki's destination, but, as seen in the premiere of Loki, he landed up in a desert, but was whisked away by the TVA who had tracked the location that Loki had disappeared to. And that is how Loki is still alive and ready to lead his own Disney+ show.

How did the remaining Asgardians get to Earth?
So Thor: Ragnarok ends off with Thor, Loki, Korg, Miek, Hulk, Valkyrie and the rest of the Asgardians on a spaceship, going to Earth, since Asgard was destroyed.
Loki has always delighted in cheating death, manipulating others into believing he was dead in order to hatch his next scheme. At the end of Thor, he apparently took his own life — but Loki survived death by plunging into one of the many portals he knew could be found in Yggdrasil.
He then invites Laufey into Asgard to kill Odin while he slept and take back the Casket. With Sif and the Warriors Three loyal to Thor and seeking to retrieve the rightful heir, Loki sent the Destroyer to Earth to eliminate Thor and his friends.
Before the Battle For New York, Coulson told Thor that Jane was being protected by SHIELD by having a last-minute invite to a conference. As for why he didn't go find her after the battle, well the world was nearly destroyed and he had to worry about taking Loki back to Asgard.
This stemmed from his childhood and the belief that Odin didn't love him. While Odin's hiding of Loki's true parentage and Thor's demeaning behavior may have influenced Loki, ultimately he is to blame for his villainous actions due to his own issues with self-acceptance and misinterpretation of his upbringing.
Was Loki sick in the Avengers? It looked like he almost fell a couple times. He looked sick because of the effects of the Mind Stone within the scepter.
The scepter contained another Infinity Stone that had the ability to control the minds of others, and would aid Loki greatly in his mission. Then, through manipulation of cosmic energy, Thanos teleported Loki to Earth.
Stormbreaker did not open the gate to eternity. It was manipulated to activate the bifrost , which was then used to open the gateway by directing the energy against the seal: The weapon may have displayed some levels of “feelings” against its owner, but Gorr has the powers of the Necrosword.
However, the film also implies that the hammer only sees Jane as worthy because Thor unintentionally revised the rules of Mjölnir, giving it the power to protect her. Captain America didn't need anything special for the hammer to see him as worthy – he's able to wield it without issue in Avengers: Endgame.
Throughout the second act, when Thor took Jane to Asgard to meet his parents, she was sidelined to make room for more Loki scenes after the first Avengers movie had made the trickster god one of Marvel's most popular characters (via /Film). In the post-credits scene, Thor and Jane reunited in London.
The son of giants, Loki is actually considered to be a type of Jotunn or giant rather than a member of the Aesir, the ruling class of gods in Norse mythology. He is the "blood-brother" of Odin, the Aesir king, and the husband of the goddess Sigyn.
High says that Loki's alternative name is Lopt, that he is the son of the male jötunn Fárbauti, his mother is "Laufey or Nál", and his brothers are Helblindi and Býleistr.
In Thor: The Dark World, the God of Mischief joined Thor in battle against the Dark Elves, apparently redeeming himself, but died when he was stabbed in the chest. Thor grieved the loss of his brother, but viewers soon learned he had not really died at all.
Though being somewhat arrogant and prideful like his main timeline counterpart, Kid Loki is confident in his abilities to lead and survive as he has for years in the Void. Before coming to the Void, Kid Loki had the same hatred for Thor and Odin, eventually killing Thor and causing his nexus event.
Citing the Marvel Visual Dictionary, this theory explains that Odin used magic to make Loki seem Asgardian. However, Odin must have used stronger magic than a simple illusion. Otherwise, Loki would have turned blue in Loki when he entered the Time Variance Authority (TVA) Office, where magic and powers did not work.
As an Asgardian and Thor's trusted friend, Heimdall knew he would prefer to meet an honorable death while saving his people instead of being saved at the cost of their lives. In turn, Heimdall chose to save Bruce Banner because, even in his Hulk-induced rage, he knew where his allegiances lay.
Avengers: Infinity War opened with Thanos slaughtering half the Asgardians, but how the other half survived and made it to New Asgard isn't clear. According to dialogue in Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos only slaughtered half of the surviving Asgardian refugees.
Many viewers have pointed out that Thanos was able to lift Stormbreaker without a problem, but this is because the ax isn't enchanted as Mjolnir is. Others believe Thanos lifted Mjolnir (although briefly) and have even argued that he would be worthy of doing so.
