During the Purge, the Empire bombarded Mandalore, slaughtered most of the Mandalore population and collected beskar. The Purge forced Mandalorian survivors, such as sects, akin to the Tribe, to operate in secrecy. The Mandalorians became scattered throughout the galaxy, and some believed Mandalore had become cursed.
Many Mandalorians were killed when the covert was attacked by forces of the remnant. The Tribe's armorer managed to survive the attack and hoped that a small number of Mandalorians had managed to escape the planet. She remained to salvage what she could in the enclave.
After generations of fighting, the Jedi defeated and laid waste to Mandalore and its warriors. Mandalore's surface was so scarred by the fighting that the war rendered the planet's surface a desolate white desert, forcing the Mandalorian people to flee into domed biospheres.
Under his command, the Neo-Crusaders nearly defeated the Republic during the Mandalorian Wars, and it was only through the leadership of the Jedi Knights Revan and Malak that the tide of the war was ultimately turned against Mandalore. In a valorous battle, Revan killed Mandalore in single combat, ending the war.
It seems that the warriors who rely on honor and traditional ways of combat couldn't comprehend the force of nature (no pun intended) that the Jedi were. Eventually, the tension between the two resulted in battles, likely started by the aggressive Mandalorian people.
The war left Mandalore's surface scorched and desolate. The last great struggle between the Jedi and the Mandalorian warlords resulted in a large battle on Mandalore. This caused a cataclysm that scorched much of the planet's surface into lifeless white desert and ending the conflict, the Jedi emerging victorious.
They also developed a new fighting style that would allow them to wield their arsenal with the expert skill they require. After Mandalorians started slaying Jedi Knights, their reputation grew. They became the most feared warriors in the galaxy all over again, but their battles continued to rage.
Din Grogu (/ˈɡroʊɡu/), colloquially referred to as Baby Yoda, is a character from the Star Wars Disney+ original television series The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. He is a toddler member of the same species as the Star Wars characters Yoda and Yaddle, with whom he shares a strong ability in the Force.
To be clear, Grogu is not a younger version of Yoda since "The Mandalorian" is set after "Return of the Jedi," in which Yoda (played by Frank Oz) died. They are, however, of the same species — but that species has not yet been revealed. There are more similarities between Yoda and Grogu than just looks.
Coming from greatness and having great teachers, it is no surprise that Boba Fett became arguably the greatest bounty hunter of all time and among the most powerful Mandalorians. He has many skills, from being an expert pilot to a master of various fighting styles and weaponry, including the esteemed lightsaber.
At the time of The Mandalorian story, it is pretty clear that Moff Gideon is not a Sith Lord even though he has the Darksaber in his possession nor does he have any links to the Jedi. Moff Gideon is nothing more than one of the Empire's existing bad guys who officially worked for the Imperial Security Bureau.
Notably, the Dagoyan Masters of Bardotta regarded the Jedi as thieves and kidnappers because of that practice. Some Mandalorians, most notably members of Death Watch, held a grudge against the Jedi for their perceived crimes against Mandalore during the Mandalorian-Jedi War.
While fans don't know the state of Grogu's well-being in the sequel trilogy, his ties to Mandalore might explain why Kylo Ren doesn't kill him. It's likely Grogu stays with Din Djarin and the Mandalorians, and never returns to embark on his training with Luke.
Kuiil is the most tragic. The man spent three human lifetimes working for his freedom, and in the end he got killed by those who could never appreciate hard work. IG-11 at least died so the others could live, but Kuiil's death was just a loss, not even a half-victory. Kuill, hands down.
The Armorer trained Djarin with the Darksaber, before Paz Vizsla challenged him to a duel, as Paz was the descendant of its original creator. Djarin and Vizsla dueled, though Djarin ultimately won. However, he was banished from the ways of the Mandalorian after the Armorer discovered that he had removed his helmet.
It was believed that Grogu would eventually become a victim of Kylo Ren's destruction of Luke's Jedi Order. However, The Book of Boba Fett revealed that Grogu chose to follow the Way of the Mandalorian rather than become a Jedi, sparing him from Kylo Ren's wrath.
Given the rarity of his species in the galaxy, along with the fact that the only other two known members of Grogu's species were both living in the Temple when he was born, it seems likely that Grogu is the child of Yoda and Yaddle and was born to help preserve their rare species.
There are certainly scenarios where Darth Vader would have the upper hand in a duel with Yoda, but in most cases, Yoda would be the more likely victor. Vader wields absurd levels of Force power during his dark side prime that would certainly rival Yoda's own abilities, but likely not exceed them.
Given that Grogu, Yoda, and Yaddle are the only known canon members of their species, it makes sense why some would try to draw a connection between the three of them. While Star Wars hasn't disproved the theory, it's highly unlikely that Yoda or Yaddle were Grogu's biological parents.
Din Djarin may have had the Force his whole life, and Jedi training may have encouraged him to open himself to the universe. However, his Mandalorian upbringing kept him from connecting with the Force.
Well sure, Mando can probably get to Palpatine for some one-on-one or even get the jump on him, but he's arguably the most powerful Sith Lord in existence.
In Legends material, particularly comic books, Boba Fett is shown to be particularly skilled at capturing and killing Jedi, who became extremely rare during the reign of the Empire due to the Jedi Purge.
